Travelling on business I stay weekly at many locations countrywide. As a female business traveler, my requirements are simple. Quality, style, and most importantly 'home from home'. I choose wisely. Once I stumble upon a very 'special' location, I always return. The Nevill Arms ticks all the boxes. Always greeted with a huge smile and welcoming gesture from lovely Laura. In my experience of years of travelling in this country, a hotel is not a home until the staff make it one. Ellie is charming, Fernando has immaculate hospitality skills and Laura is simply wonderful. I shall never be disappointed. Visit - relax and enjoy. x

We held our annual pre-Xmas family get-together at the Nevill Arms yesterday evening, and all fifteen of us agreed that it was a fabulous place! We had seven of the ten bedrooms, which were beautifully appointed and spotless - the refurbishment has been done with such attention to detail, with really high quality fabrics, fixtures and fittings. There were lovely little touches such as a personalised welcome letter, homemade biscuits and a little bottle of bramble gin. The bathroom was gorgeous with Bamford toiletries and the heaviest, fluffiest towels ever! The extra large bed was very comfy and the room was quiet at night. Dinner was also extremely good, especially as the pub was heaving with other parties and a small wedding reception. The service was friendly and efficient, with notable dishes being the venison, lamb and tarte-tatin. A particular thank you to Laura who showed us to our rooms, took drinks orders and was calm and serene throughout! We liked the Neville Arms so much that we have already booked for next year, which speaks for itself.

Had Sunday lunch to celebrate Fathers Day a few weeks late. Excellent meal all round, my roast beef was the best I've had in a long time. No complaints from the other four members of our group.

We had a wonderful Boxing Day lunch, we were a party of 12, and the food (the Braised Beef Croquettes were amazing) and the service was fabulous. Max and all the staff could n't have done more to make our lunch more memorable, thank you we will definitely be back again very soon.

My wife, family of six and I stayed here for 3 nights in late October. It would be hard indeed to find ANY fault at all with this lovely spot in a great location and lovely village. The staff are all very charming and helpful. The rooms are nothing short of fantastic with lovely bed and bathroom - all newly refurbished. Every detail has been considered and attended to. The food and service in the restaurant are both first class. What more can one wish for?!

We had a hugely successful three night stay. We will definitely return. It was a great place to catch up with family. Medbourne itself is a most attractive village, with scenic walks on the doorstep. We loved our room, which was even better than anticipated, with a sitting area and plenty of space. The staff were all brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. the meals were excellent and there was such a good atmosphere. We are really pleased that we chose to stay at the Nevill Arms ! Just returned from a most enjoyable break ( 3 couples ), at the Nevill Arms in Medbourne The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious and the young staff team were particularly friendly and helpful. The food also deserves special mention The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The Supper Club meal on the Monday evening was excellent and very good value. And the meal the following evening in the restaurant was superb! A really imaginative menu, mouth watering food, beautifully presented. Medbourne is a lovely little village, equidistant from Market Harborough and Uppingham, set in most attractive countryside with good, well signposted walks straight from the hotel. Our first visit but we’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at the nevill arms this past week, while having beautiful decor and a stunning courtyard it promised an excellent experience. The food was brilliant even though it was some what over priced for what is served. You have to break the bank to purchase a few drinks. And the bar is awfully dark in the evenings. The girls who served us were delightful and kind. A cleaner or house keeper I presume - I forget her name, I believe it was Amy or something similar. Either way, she was wonderful and couldn’t have been nicer even taking time out of her day to take some photos for us. She tended to our needs when asked and was so patient with our children and my elderly mother who asked lots of questions about all the flowers. Our room was incredibly clean and we had a great night sleep, would say the rooms need a little update though but were still pleasant and quite quirky. A down side to our stay was probably the rude and arrogant bar manager, very tall chap who made you feel like he had somewhere better to be when trying to talk to him. Wasn’t very polite or friendly and actually equally as rude to his fellow employees. Definitely on a power trip it appears. But I digress, our over all experience of the nevill arms was a positive one but mainly due to the girls who served us and the young cleaner who helped us. They really made the trip a pleasure. Would return.
