We have investigated room 304 and are in the process of having new showers fitted in certain rooms, this will certainly be on our list to update and will hopefully fix the issue you found during your stay. We are still waiting for our coffee machine to be fixed, its frustrating for sure, be sure to keep an eye on our facebook page for any updates, we are working with our supplier and engineers to have it sorted as quickly as humanly possible. Had a great stay at YHA Berwick with colleagues this September, enjoying an end of summer evening/day out. The hostel is nestled nicely just inside the garrison walls of the town, and gives great access to all the amenities close at hand. The team were all super friendly and helpful and looked after us well. The Warden Jon showed us the best place to get curry, and Matts mint green tracksuit bottoms were a top style choice. They were all super knowledgeable about the history of the building, and it was fascinating to find out about the historic fire that caused the whole place to lean over, and subsequent fixings to keep it standing! We also went on a boat trip whilst visiting, to view the seals, Gannets and beautiful views. It was a great moment to contemplate life and enjoy some late season sunshine. Lovely place 10/10

While I only had a short stay, the establishment and the friendliness of the staff was top notch! I thought the accomodations were more than adequate for my single night stay, and the proximity to the water and restaurants and water was amazing. A great stay.

Basic but brilliant value, comfy bed, clean and tidy room, excellent facilities and friendly staff! Used the YHA as a base for our stay which was very comfortable.

Fantastic location in the heart of Berwick and stones throw from the harbour. Nice en suite room and all areas of the hostel clean, tidy and comfortable. Have to mention Scott on reception...really helpful, friendly and very amusing ! He definitely deserves a salary increase as he's a real asset for the hostel.

Just stayed here. A great place! Clean, very comfortable, with a good choice of snacks, meals , beverages and a licensed bar. Bedrooms are good. Comfortable beds and bedding with hot showers and toilet en suite. The staff could not be more helpful. I really highly recommend this place. Paul D

Good location. Friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately our room was tired and the bathroom had an awful smell of blocked drains. Bed standard variable in our sleeps 6 room. Whole place could really do with a facelift given the great standard of other YHAs and independent hostels.
