Awful. Went for a wedding and was disgusted with our room. Cracked draughty windows covered in mold, cobwebs around the bathroom, limescale and mildew in the shower and the shower head holder held together with a cable tie. Broken tiles throughout the tiny bathroom. Dirty carpet and dirt on the sheets and dirty doors. Door handles didn’t look like they had ever been cleaned and even had an electric socket that wasn’t just crooked and dirty but also missing the screws so was loose and unsafe.

As a family run business, we do our utmost to host the best weddings for the wedding couple and their guests, if we ever fall short of this mark we are the first to apologise and we just wished you had given us the opportunity to do that in person. With regards to the room, your stay was the second to last time this room was in use before renovation. Sadly, with busy wedding season and back to back weddings, we don't always have time to fix guest damage to the bedrooms such as the cracked tile and cracked stain glass window and the issues that this has caused to the room. As the wedding couple had booked a room for yourselves, we wanted to honour the booking. We have investigated in the room and there is no electric socket with a screw loose or dirty carpet which you haven't taken photos of. We use an external laundry company with very high standards for all our so I would be very surprised if the bed linen was dirty however as nothing was mentioned to us on check out this is impossible for us to check the linen now. We are sorry there was a cobweb in the bathroom, this should have been picked up by housekeeping when they were cleaning the rooms, we will have a chat with them to discuss how they can ensure seeing any cobwebs that have appeared. Once again, we are sorry you didn't enjoy your overnight stay but hope you enjoyed the wedding itself.

We attended a close friends wedding over the Easter weekend. Can I say that the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Very professional, well set out, and great welcoming staff. We stayed overnight in room 22, which was spacious with a large bed. The shower was efficient, but the head needed a bit of manipulation, but that didn't detract from the stay. The breakfast was serve yourself with very good quality produce. If I was ever to remarry, I would have it here. 🤣

We attended a family wedding at this venue and would have to say it was perfect and I’m hard to please. Food and service were exceptional. A real team effort ensuring that the day was a 100% success. The hotel has a contemporary vibe and was spotlessly clean. Well done to the whole team.

We were fortunate enough to have our daughter’s wedding here. The bridal party stayed in the garden apartment the night before, and the staff were so attentive, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We were served with pizza, salads, cookies, brownies and there was Prosecco chilling in the fridge. Our make up artist and hair dresser came the following morning and there was ample room for them to get us ready. Breakfast was brought to the apartment and it was stunning, accompanied by Buck’s Fizz. We were informed of the day’s itinerary so we felt fully prepared for everything. The wedding service was lovely, a local firm dressed the venue and it was beautiful. The canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet were of a really high standard. A few of the evening guests commented it was the best buffet they had ever seen. After sleeping in the well equipped bedrooms we were served with a full English breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Every single member of the whole wedding party had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this venue to anybody thinking of having their wedding there.

A beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue. The evening food was delicious! Special mention to Megan, who was a server at the wedding and breakfast and was very polite and accommodating. A lovely day with some great service, and in a great venue.

Thank you to everyone at Sparth House for making our wedding so special, from the planning by Emma and team, to the staff on the day everyone was fantastic and so personal and professional. All of our guests keep saying that it was the best food they have had at a wedding and we agree, it was amazing. The cleanliness of the whole venue, the stunning rooms, the breakfast for all of our guests just perfect, we both work in hospitality and could not fault a single thing. Just returned from a fab wedding! The venue is lovely and the grounds are beautiful but what really made the day was the amazing staff. They couldn't do enough for us and we're happy, smiley and helpful all day and night.

We attended a wedding here recently and the whole day was amazing! The venue is stylish and modern with beautiful gardens. The staff were organised, friendly and went above and beyond all day for everyone. Would highly recommend for a wedding venue!

Paid £100 for an attic room , damp coming through the back wall from velux window , just awful totally spoilt the weekend room so small , breakfast OK poor service , get it yourself, it felt like they had your money now go
