Breakfast was very greasy and could have been better. Need to purchase a new toaster as it takes FAR to long and doesn't toast very well.

The hotel was adequate for a single night's stay but I would have regretted making the booking if we were staying for an extended period. The room was very tired and the fittings in the ensuite were falling apart. The room and ensuite (and probably public areas) appeared clean but the fact that it had not been redecorated in many many years and the ensuite walls were peppered with holes with rawlpugs still visible and fixtures that wobbled and hung means that unless the property is known to have been refurbished we will not be returning.

First of all I would like to say that the breakfast was absolutely wonderful, I think the staff were very nice apart from one member of staff who obviously had a evening off before work next day because I recognize him . I went to the bar waiting to be served but he came back from wherever thought I was rude by standing in this place I could tell this from his reaction on his face I moved to the other side of a bar I think he works early morning exception area , just felt uncomfortable . But on a lighter note the other staff was absolutely wonderful very clean Hotel very nice what let it down was bedroom number2, very very small very claustrophobic so that is why I've only given a few stars would I stay here again probably No

Comfortable hotel in prime location
Check in quick and simple, room was large clean and comfortable. TV missing a few freeview channels, but thats the only issue.

Very nice but short of staff.
Everything was brillant. Our only complaint was the hotel was very short staffed. Ie got a room for my daughter and her partner which was a really nice one. Only fault there was no bed clothes and toiletries. Luckily there was another one available. The staff were brilliant. But sadly short on numbers.

Great location but the hotel needs an upgrade. Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable and the lack of air conditioning left us sweltering until morning. Love the history of the hotel but it seems understaffed and is quite dated. Breakfast is a bonus!

Staff very friendly however not enough to cope with breakfast . Would have liked freshly cut fruit to go with the yoghurt and tea pots for the tea. Parking could be an issue. Overall a pleasant stay.
