Bugs on window sill in dining area.
Grease trap on sidewalk was leaking.
All other public areas were EXCELLENT.
Housekeeping could have cleaned the toilet .
Greeter in load/unload area was very helpful and pleasant. I think his name was Olem.
Front desk staff was pleasant and friendly and knowledgeable.
Overall we have no complaints. We had a pleasant stay.

The property is in a very convenient location in downtown Bethany and right on the beach; however, I was a little disappointed with the hotel itself. The pool was claimed to be heated but it was not. The cleaning service was poor and honestly, the "amenities" that were offered at the hotel, were not what was advertised on the site when booking. Overall, nice place to stay for convenience, but not the ideal place as far as cleanliness and hotel amenities go

I stayed last year and had a good experience. This year was a grave experience and not up to Marriott standards. The woman at the front was rude and displayed no eye contact. Additionally, she attempted to place another party in front of me. Her comments were dismissive and lacked cordiality. Lastly, floors, doors, bathroom and common areas were absolutely filthy!!! I plan to spend my resources elsewhere next year.

We had a wonderful stay! The close proximity to the beach and other restaurants makes this hotel a really ideal location. Also the staff is very helpful and kind. In particular Imah was extremely helpful with dining suggestions and helping us get acquainted with the area and took extra care to ensure that we had a great time which we did.

Quiet, convenient location right on the beach with friendly, helpful staff. Unfortunately the facilities are lacking. The tub and shower curtain were dirty and stained, there were ants crawling on the floor, and the toilet didn’t work. The washing machines and dryers are coin operated but there is no coin changer and the front desk didn’t have any extra quarters, so if you don’t have a few rolls of quarters you are out of luck. The couch had so many stains we covered it with a sheet before sitting on it.

outdated hotel
Our stay at Bethany Beach suites was not what I had expected. The hotel room was very dated and underwhelming. The floors in the room were not conducive to a beach hotel. The sand from the beach got all over the floors and housecleaning only came every other day. The beds were also outdated and are not comfortable. For the rate that we paid, I would never recommend this hotel.

I did love staying at Bethany Beach Ocean Suites. View was great, room was awesome, Just a few things. The floors in the stairwells were nasty dirty. Easily cleanable. The pool was a little disappointing. Otherwise…totally great place to stay, would do it 100 times again!
