The worst experience ever! Nothing is as advertised. Terrible food, very small plates. No refrigeration. Nothing sustainable. No receicling. Totally deteriorated property. Super dirty and filthy. Management does not care.

Kalu Yala IS CLOSED! They still accept bookings, but the place closed in June! Dont go there! If you have a booking, try to contact them, you will speak to a bot on Whatsapp. Once you arrive you will be told that they are closed, and try to get a refund from Booking dot com.

I had an amazing time at Kalu Yala, this is a very beautiful place next to an incredibly preserves river in the jungle. Alejandrina, Jorge and all the staff are very caring people. Do not hesitate to go, this place is a gem!

Visited this Super cool vibes, great concept for sustainable projects with a friend and our dogs. Everyone was super friendly (staff and other guests) They have a great river, great hike. Nice food. cool "town square" activities. Rock on!

Please be very careful. They canceled the program we paid for, promised a full refund but now will not reply to emails. They owe us $3750 and I have heard from many people in the same situation. They say that they are ethical, but it is a SCAM.

We booked 1 week for 3 person and paid all inclusive $770. Upon arrival we were shocked. The place is completely neglected. None of the free activities like Yoga, painting, etc were available, everything else was super expensive and a scam. The food was actually the worst we had aver seen (see pictures) and super little. Gabage and neglected construction material all over the place. Buildings and sport areas are in complete disrepair. Mosquito nets had the big holes. Internet was super slow and is just available at the bar. No electricity at night. The manager started drinking beer at 9 am and that's how the entire place is managed. Outrageous. We left after 3 days and are still waiting for the promised refund.

You must visit this incredible peacefull and sustainable place ! Hike, nigth trip with a biologist to see animals, great people protecting our planet, it is a nice experience to live. Not far away from panama city it is really easy to go there. Just visit them you will enjoy so much

I feel the positive energy around Kalu Yala the first I get into it. I have enjoyed staying between nature listening to all-natural sounds. The personal staff, rooms and place itself are fabulous. I would back again!

The absolutely perfect get away! A chilling place to relax and enjoy the nature. The lovely staff makes you feel like home. Zoe and Jimmy are amazing and welcoming. The food is great and you can enjoy some good drinks at the bar 💜
