Room was clean outside was a bit creepy staff was very nice and friendly and room was well kept .

A feel from the 1980s
Staying at the Newburgh Inn is only a last choice resort. The area around the property is quite sketchy. I would only recommend staying at the Newburgh Inn if you want to save a dollar or have nowhere else to stay.

We could not even check in. The lobby was dark and the door was locked with a "closed" sign on it. Need a refund of amount charged. Later learned that property is being renovated room by room. Saw broken windows, etc. as we drove around the place. Looked awful. Need that refund.

The "owner" that claimed to not know how to charge my credit card, tried to send a copy of my credit card to someone in west point before ever asking me for my name or my ID. When I questioned it, he said he didn't;t know how to use the system, then shortly after, claimed to be the owner. He was very sketchy. I ended up leaving and going to another hotel because something didn't right.
