I went here with my partner the location is very helpful easy reach from the bus stop . The staff are very helpful and friendly and welcoming. It’s a lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and the manager said it’s very popular with the locals . It’s good value for money. The rooms are very spacious to move around and it’s accessible. . The carvery is very nice! Nice choice of meats and vegetables. A few tight spaces in toilets at the back my girlfriend said it’s hard to move in there . And I noticed they have wheelchair ramp to get down the steps for my friend. Very clean toilets 🚽. Wasn’t too noisy for our meeting.

We all ate a lovely carvery and the staff were very accommodating and friendly .Will go again soon. They were also giving away unwanted Christmas decorations to their customers.

Had our first Sunday carvery at The Sydney Arms today. Amazing. Generous helping of meat, pigs in blankets and Yorkshire pud with a great choice of veg - and very reasonably priced. Dessert was delicious too - homemade apple & blackberry crumble with custard or ice cream. Usual friendly service from Dani the landlady and a big shout out to Andy the Chef. Highly recommend. Would probably recommend booking in advance as once it’s more established, you might struggle to get a ‘walk in’ meal.

We enjoyed the Sunday carvery. Very good value for money! With the oap discount, £11.50. A very tasty Mediterranean pie for the vegy choice. Lovely friendly staff.

Best value accommodation in Dorchester. Great staff. Appreciated the easy access from the train station, and the five minute walk to the training I'd registered for. Two additional local recommendations: A Line taxis and Al Molo for dinner (other than the Sunday roast at the Sydney Arms). All round a fab stay in Dorchester. Thank you.

Visited today with my friend to try out the new Carvery that is served every Sunday 12 till 4pm. The pub was decorated with really fun Halloween decorations and there was a variety of different seating areas to choose from. I loved the books and games available to use in the snug area. The Snug area is a lovely area to sit, and the manager advised that the music levels in here can be adjusted to suit the needs to those using it. The other areas of the pubs music levels can be adjusted too. I absolutely loved this inclusivity! All the staff were really friendly and helpful and we were really impressed with the service we received, especially from manager Danniella, who really went above and beyond! The Carvery is fantastic value at £13.50 per person and this includes a vegetarian option. A smaller portion for children is £9.50. The chef serving the carvery was really friendly and served us generous portions of the fresh and succulent meat. There were so many delicious things to help yourself to from the carvery, including perfectly cooked vegetables, leaks in a creamy sauce, red cabbage, mouthwatering roast potatoes, stuffing Yorkshire puddings and sausages wrapped in bacon! We were stuffed after the carvery but found room for dessert ;) Desert on offer today was a choice of apple crumble or plum crumble, which were served with ice cream or custard. The crumbles were made by chef Andy using local sourced ingredients. The desserts were outstanding, easily 10/10 (and I am pretty fussy!) The pub also uses an app called Remy which I downloaded during my visit. The app included a number of offers including by 5 pints and get your 6th free and for every pound you spend in the pub you can collect points, and redeem them towards free food and drink! What a genius idea! Really enjoyed my afternoon here, We felt really welcome and the food was great. Thankyou so much :)
