Literally the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Filthy with health and safety violations everywhere you look. The owners stock response seems to be that it's your fault for not checking/reading the reviews and that it's been a tough time so they don't have the money to fix things right now but that's just shirking the issue. Fire doors should not be held open by radiators, windows should have restrictors on them, communal toilets should have basins, and communal showers should not be rife with mildew and mould. I note some reviews are "exceptional" but would have to question who is writing these. Have reported this hovel to Environmental Health it's so bad

If you like an average level of cleanliness don't stay here because you won't even get that. Mattress had a large stain on it, no mattress protector. Mugs in room grubby. Plumbing antiquated and will keep you awake all night every time it flushes you get 19 creaks and groans! Many people coming and going through the night down the creaky boarded corridors only went quiet at 7am. Toilet was filthy, no soap/hand wash or paper towels or hand dryer or loo brush. Shower was disgusting, black mildew all around it and a brown smear on the wall. Upstairs loo no basin. Top room top hinged window without a safety catch. Rooms were scruffy and needed an update, the double room had a patchwork of wallpaper covering issues. If you value basic standards of cleanliness and health and safety this isn't for you.

If I could give this a minus 10 I would !!! We booked last minute and stupidly never read reviews but stars seemed ok for £95 a family room picked keys up at 11 and room was being cleaned (promising) how wrong was we arrived back at 9pm to an absolute dive of a place shared toilet and shower hasn’t been cleaned for …. Well never! crap all over toilet dirty towels on shower floor mould everywhere! Thankfully I had wet wipes so could clean toilet before use . Kids bunks was full of sand clearly never changed sheets and gum stuck to bed. 1 tv had no remote the other had no batteries! Honestly couldn’t wait to leave THIS IS JUST THE HALF OF IT!!! DO NOT STAY HERE AND NEVER BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE ! I’m pretty sure a prison cell would have been far better . Booking. Com trip advisor shame on you for even advertising this place I’m seriously surprised the council haven’t condemned this place !!! I literally could go on and on with how minging this place actually is but haven’t the time !

The area was horrendous, it was loud and people on ***** everywhere outside! It felt completely unsafe, especially with children. The guest house was dirty and had a horrible smell. There was men lingering around and it just felt really uncomfortable and unsafe. The carpets were rotten and ripped and the hallways were dark and creepy. The whole place, of what I had seen was run down. I’ve never been in a place like it. Luckily we was able to get a refund and didn’t end up staying. We got a apartment around the corner which was much nicer. The whole area around the town centre is run down, I don’t think it matters where you stay, it’s going to feel unsafe. It’s a very depressing place. I would never stay in Great Yarmouth again. The owner did appear friendly enough and he was happy to refund us without any problems. I think the place should be advertised as a hostel if anything.

We are a budget place so it's important to check before you book the guest hours and area. Hopefully now the recent 3 years are behind us Great Yarmouth will get back to its best soon

The worst place I’ve ever stayed in in my life. A prison cell would be better than this. Carpets completely rank, smell of sewage coming up through the basin that’s right next to the bed. Furniture from the 60s. This place really is the pits and should be knocked down!!!
