The hotel is just limping along. The staff were pleasant. The Hotel has been very grand in its day but is tired and run down now. Our room was spacious and clean, but the furniture & bathroom very dated and marked etc. we stayed 4 nights dinner & breakfast. The food was at best average and expensive for what was put down in front of us. The setting is beautiful and there are nice walks

Clean comfortable spacious double room in the main building. The £35 allowance on the dinner bed & breakfast rate doesn't buy you a basic 3 course meal. Had to pay an extra supplement for a cooked omelette gor breakfast. Very helpful polite staff.

Beautiful setting, spacious accommodation, attentive and friendly staff, excellent facilities. Would love to return for a longer stay.
