Stayed for one night on cycling tour around Norfolk, able to store bikes safely. good size rooms, good size food portions and freshly made. Staff approachable. Felt it was rather odd dining in the bar area and not in the restaurant space despite being fairly busy. Breakfast tasted great but a little let down that there were not enough bowels or plates out for self serving cereals. could do with some redecoration in one of the room stayed in with wallpaper pealing.

This was a 1-night stay for work. Car park was free and small. The hotel is set back from the road, so you need to drive down a gravel roadway. Nice greeting on checking in. I was in room 6, which was great. Desk and chair to work at in room, comfortable bed, ensuite was lovely. The shower over the bath was not powerful. Lovely side lamps by bed. TV and internet were good. I also ate in bar (as there was no other choice nearby) and the homemade fish pie was tasty. Food ends at 8:30pm.

Lovely family run hotel in quiet area. We had a superior room, powerful shower, heated towel rail, plenty of hot water as I do love a bath. My husband had a cold and there was a box of tissues on the table which were very welcome. Biscuits with the teas/coffees was a nice touch. We didn’t eat in but the bar areas looked cosy with an open fire which was roaring away. We had the cooked breakfast which was cooked to order, good quality sausage a bacon. The walk into the town is lovely through the historic park, it is well lit at night when you have been out late. Very friendly staff, thank you

In a word, adequate. To be fair, we were in the lowest grade of room (room 10, rather compact). Pricier rooms may be significantly better. There was nothing seriously wrong with it, just lots of little irritations: * No desk of any kind, just a shelf for tea/coffee making. * Just one chair, dining-style - we both sat/lay on the bed to watch TV * Paper-thin walls - useful if you want to know what no.9 is up to in their bathroom. * Bathroom door handle that creaked enough to wake the dead * Toilet seat that won't stay up * No hooks in the bathroom for clothes or damp towels * Towels on a rack high above the toilet - ok for fresh towels, perhaps, but not damp ones The included or £7.50 breakfast was about as basic as you'll find. (See photo of menu). Tea/coffee, orange/apple juice, a few cereals, muesli (unsweetened - good - but rather basic), fresh fruit salad (mainly apples and oranges), fruit yoghurt (cheap, UPF variety), toast with salted butter and jams/marmalade. That's it. No berries or seasonal fruit (not even a banana), no croissants or other pastries, not even natural yoghurt. Scrambled/poached eggs were just £2.50 extra. full English another £2.50. The breakfast room was rather gloomy and lacking in any kind of style or atmosphere, so we chose not to have dinner there. Kings Lynn (town centre a mile's walk via a pleasant park) seems very short of good dining options. Our first evening was a Saturday, so the most promising option, Mem's Kitchen, was fully booked (both branches). We finished up in the conservatory upstairs at the Crown & Mitre and were pleasantly surprised by the menu and friendly, efficient service. Seafood curry strongly recommended. Not fine dining, of course, but an enjoyable evening. The second evening, we resorted to Prezzo, which was enjoyable enough, with a good Saltimbocca Chicken and a pleasant malbec. There was a 25% food voucher on the Prezzo website, so the bill was very reasonable. Parking at the hotel was a bit random, with cars all over the place, but we had no difficulty finding a space. If you drive an EV, there are two 7kW Pod Point chargers - 45p/kWh. For Tesla, though, you'd do better at the superchargers just out of town, 34p/kWh off-peak, 43p peak (4-8 pm). Just be sure to register your reg with the hotel , using a tablet to the left of reception, or expect a £100 fine.

Lovely room comfortable bed. Great breakfast cooked to order. We ate in the bar every night excellent food and friendly staff. Ten minutes walk into Kings Lynn. Worth doing the walking tour so much history. Short drive to Sandringham and Old Royal Station. Thirty minutes drive to Houghton Hall and Oxburgh Estate. Would highly recommend.

We stayed just one night when visiting family in the area. The room was very comfortable and warm and had everything we needed. Plenty of teas and coffees and a nice bathroom with both bath and shower. Breakfast was basic but good value. We had been warned when booking of the Christmas party taking place that night but didn't hear a thing. The staff were welcoming , friendly and professional, which makes a good hotel.

Stayed here last minute. Very friendly welcome. Our room was comfortable and warm and well stocked with everything we needed. We had dinner in the bar which was very good quality and the service was excellent. Breakfast was fine. It’s just a ten minute walk through the park into the historic centre:

A stay here is guaranteed to be homely. Yes, it may not be your flashy generic hotels, but I would prefer the homlieness of the hotel. The rooms were excellently clean and the bathroom was spotless . The water pressure was excellent and always hot. The meal in the hotel was delicious and breakfast was prepared to order. The staff were so friendly and always ready to make pots or tea or coffee. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The room had two single beds pushed together to form a double with no power in the shower. The beer was warm. The most exciting thing on the microwave menu was fish pie? Breakfast is £7.50 for coffee and cereal or £10 if you want eggs on toast. £12.50 if you want a full English but black pudding, mushrooms etc are extra. Fortunately it's a ten minute walk into town to get a decent feed. I wouldn't recommend this place for quality or value for money after staying in other hotels in the area through work.

酒店回复: Thank you for taking the time to post a review, sorry you were disappointed. We always appreciate feedback, whether its good or bad, but we do like it to be accurate. Regarding the comments made for breakfast: Our light breakfast for £7.50 consists of unlimited tea/coffee, apple/orange juice, yoghurts, toast, fruit salad and cereals all laid out on the breakfast table so it is not limited. For an extra £2.50 you can have all of the above and Scrambled or poached eggs on toast. For an extra £5 (£12.50 in total) you can have anything from the light breakfast plus a full English, consisting of Egg, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and fried bread. There are optional extras of black pudding, hash brown and baked beans, they are optional but they do not cost anymore. Sorry if this was not clear to you. We are not a fine dining restaurant, we have traditional items on the the evening menu. Along with the fish pie you mentioned it also has items such as Gammon Steak, Seabass, Chill, Lasagne, Curries, Scampi, Pies and puddings. Most of the items on the menu are made in house. If you revisit the area we sincerely hope you find somewhere better suited to your needs.
