Somewhat dated and characterless room with double bed and single bed and small ensuite shower room. Our room (Room 10) was located next to stairway and immediately adjacent to a creaking fire door so pretty noisy and not conducive to a sound night's sleep. Breakfast was reasonable with good choice of cooked items. Was not particularly impressed with manner in which hotel owner dealt with a parking issue we encountered

Further to your parking issue, you were parked on a public road not the property of the hotel, yes the car was parked very close behind yours but you had meters of room in front, you kept on saying that the car must of hit your car, you were not in it at the time and this was not the case, there were no marks at all on either car, photographs have been taken of both cars. Even when the owner of the car came out they apologised and said that they would certainly pay for any damage if there was which there was NOT, yet you could not stop, you kept on at them saying they must of hit your car, getting more and more aggressive. This not acceptable and will never be acceptable. Thank you for you time

Bedroom dated old furniture and fixtures, Bathroom, stained bath and shower curtain and needs a total replacement and refurbishment. Thin adjoining walls, you can hear every sound from the next room. Floorboards creek loudly throughout the upper floor. It’s more disappointing that these issues have been raised in many previous reviews and little or no action has been taken to address. You have been advised.

We just had 3 nights here. A nice welcome by David and later, a very friendly welcome in the bar and restaurant by Gregor started off the weekend very well. The twin room was warm and the beds comfortable. On our departure we were served breakfast by Susan who was extremely efficient and a delightful personality. Susan also dealt with our bill at checkout. I am sure that we will be back.

This is our 2nd visit! We stayed in a lovely room with 4 poster bed. Bed comfy, room clean, staff welcoming. Evening meal and breakfast cooked to order, good choice on menu. Cooked fresh to order, Enjoyed our meals. Staff polite and checked in with you during meals and stay to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Some lovely local walks! Try the blue bridge walk. Lovely hotel , we will be staying again on our next return to Scotland.

As always, a lovely stay. Alison was helpful and accommodating- allowing me to enjoy my lovely room and delivering me a delicious wood fired pizza. She also kindly leant me a phone charger overnight as I’d forgotten mine. I felt safe and settled as a solo traveller. Susan on the bar was so friendly and stared her knowledge of the local area, allowing me to explore a little further during my stay. I had a great nights sleep and will return again for sure.

We stayed for four nights at the Panmure and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, with a newly refurbished bathroom. The housekeeping was excellent,with daily fresh white towels & tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. There was a good choice at breakfast, served by friendly, efficient staff- service with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed an excellent two course evening meal on our first night, with a lovely bottle of Merlot, for a very reasonable £64.70. We also shared a freshly made thin crust pizza,one evening which was superb. We felt that the drinks at the bar were also reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly, approachable and very happy to help. My tip would be to contact the hotel directly to get the best B&B price.

Popped in on the off chance they had a room and glad they did. Really friendly welcome by the owner ( I think) and was told we could see the room before booking. Nice bar area and choice of beers as well. The dinner menu was impressive, good value and delicious as was the breakfast with a massive choice as well. Both the lady who served our dinner and the lady at breakfast were so friendly and super efficient. We had a great one night stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel. Thank you so much

Nice welcome when we arrived. We ate 1st night which was good pub food. Breakfast on both days was large, hot and very tasty. The room pleasantly decorated, looks like recently carpeted. However the floor in the room creaked loudly which needs addressed and the bathroom very dated and needs updated. Very limited insulation between next bedroom, which resulted in being woken at 6:30 both mornings due to the noise of their creaking floor and noisy extractor fan. Pleasant stay, but overpriced for the quality of the rooms

The Panmure Arms Hotel was very good. Due to bad weather conditions we booked very last minute. We got a warm welcome. The room was very comfortable - we had an excellent nights sleep. We had a delicious meal in the bar. Breakfast - full Scottish - was very good & hearty. Excellent value.

Fantastic hotel.Staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help you.The food is very good and we ate in the bar area next to the roaring fire.Breakfast is also very good.Great location and easy parking. Beds comfy.Good size rooms with comfy chairs to sit in.We just loved the feeling of the place and will be coming back.
