By far the worst place I have ever stayed. Hospitality..... they don't know the meaning of the word, all we got was hostility all because we raised one issue. We were then made to feel unwelcome all week. To the point I was challenged by the manager of the hotel in front of other guests, which was embarassing (for all).

This was my second time to Villia Marie Kellys. Enjoyed every minute of my stay. All the staff are so helpful and accommodating. Natalie who does the cooking. I ate there most of the time and I wasn't ever disappointed. The breakfasts are yummy. The cleaner who cleans the room is very nice. She works hard and keeps the rooms up to a very high standard 👏. Alex the barman is also helpful. Can't wait to go back again ❤️

Came spur of the moment, great deal booked 7 days before. Never been to Crete. Apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. The cleaning lady was so warm and welcoming, she was always happy and it was so nice that she said 'yahsoo' every time she saw us. She was always working really hard. Our towels were changed often, room cleaned and bed changed. Didn't eat here, drinks were much the same price as all other restaurants. Pool was cold but actually lovely for a swim and clean. We were so lucky with the weather. I don't think we would visit again as we would prefer somewhere a little bit busier, more shops etc. Bus stop was quite a walk away, involved crossing a busy road. Buses were cheap and reliable. We went to Malia, Hersonissos, and Heraklion. We did love Hersonissos 💖 Beach was only a 5 minute stroll and looked nice, although we used the pool. The main thing we also noticed at Marie Kelly was that we always got a sun bed, regardless of the time of day. Absolutely no towels on sunbeds when you get up. No sun bed wars here 👍🏼 I can see how people revisit this place as it feels friendly and safe. Lots of nice restaurants close by. Pavements a bit rough if you're disabled. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it 😀

The room was kept very clean daily. The pool was clean and had a robotic vacuum in most days. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The shower was decent with a fair amount of pressure and hot water available throughout the day. A few negatives - towels are only changed twice per week, although you can ask for one if you really need it. The light for the fuses in the room bathed half the room in an orange light, so restful sleep was not always possible. The noise from the central bar was loud most nights between 10 and around 1115. There were frequent powercuts, mostly at around 5am and the generator was loud when it kicked in.

This was our second visit to the Marie Kelly apartments and I'm afraid to say that it was no where near as good as our previous visit. We asked for a ground floor room because of my walking problems I sent 3 emails but couldn't get a straight answer out o of the owner, when we arrived I'm pleased to say that they did give us a ground floor room, but it was facing a car park with cars parked within a couple of yards of our terrace all week which was very unpleasant for us. I think that GREED is slipping into the owners of the apartments as every thing is charged top dollar,food drinks air con etc it was far cheaper to eat and drink off the premises This is an honest review of our stay it was such a let down compared to our previous. first visit and we will not be returning. The pictures on jet 2 are not representative. The rooms although clean are ready for been ripped out . Rusty microwave , bog standard beds . Area is great though and I would come back - but stay elsewhere . Menu not worth the money either . We eat out and drank elsewhere for the week we was there . People are nice but if you want to indulge it’s not for you

Came for a 3 day bank holiday break last minute. Lovely staff, very clean hotel, bar area and pool area. Very spacious rooms and good size veranda area. Really good variety of drinks served all day and good snacks all day too. Literally a 2-3 minute walk to the beach with lots of restaurants within 2 minute walk too. Lots more along the beach ***** too. Good variety of shops and not over priced. Not much to do for kids but we came for a chill and the kids were happy to relax round the bar area in the evenings after swimming most of the day. Would 100% recommend for couples and families

We have recently returned from a one week stay at Villa Marie Kelly. We were a Family of three and had a fantastic ground floor apartment, right by the pool. The apartments are fantastic and the house-keeping staff keep them very clean, with clean towels provided often. The pool area is fantastic, and because it is not huge, there is a real good vibe around the area, with soft music providing a really nice atmosphere. The staff are all excellent, and I mean all the staff including the owners who are ever present throughout the day. Catarina and Alex were great fun and made you feel so welcome. The apartments are in a very central location and close to all the local eateries and shops. The beach is also a short walk away. I would highly recommend Villa Marie, and I hope that we have the pleasure of visiting again.

First time in Crete. We absolutely loved our stay here. Alex the Barman is a fantastic man! Helpful, friendly and just the best barman around! The apartments are clean and tidy, as well as the pool area and bar/restaurant. There is so much to do around the local area we are glad we hired a car to explore. Stayed 10 days, and the restaurants in walking distance are really good and enough to visit different ones every night. Amazing coffee shop literally around the corner for your morning coffee with a lovely sea view. The beach was a 2 minute walk, Gouves has the most amazing sunsets!
