A great, historical escape nestled on the shores of Loch Awe. Peaceful location, friendly and attentive team and a special consideration for wagging tails. The food reflected their two rosette award, well presented, not too busy and truly delicious. Scottish hospitality, many speak of it, rarely do we find it so take the wee road and discover for yourselves. Three nights well spent.

Dropped in with friends for lunch today. Perfect portion size, lovely food, served with a smile. Such a shame it was so quiet - highly recommend a visit. Will definitely be back.

So far, still staying here it has been excellent. Staff are extremely friendly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Been several times before and it’s always been great, however I would say food is much better now. Better choices and is delicious. The Taycreggan is in an amazing setting off the beaten track facing Loch Awe. Quite magical.

I have just returned from this lovely hotel after valentines night stay. What a very beautiful location. We found this hotel at the last minute online and only booked on the morning of our stay. The weather was horrendous but the drive was just gorgeous despite the weather, with sleet and snow which actually made the property look even more romantic next to the loch and the staff were very welcoming. We started the stay with a lunch in one of the several public rooms looking out onto the water. The food was incredible in fact as I like to say, to die for, I have never enjoyed a sandwich and chips like that for lunch, ever and the standard of food just got better thereafter. Best breakfast ever. My only comment and reason for 4 stars would be that the common areas and lounges were extremely cold and for the price point the furnishings a little tired compared to many other properties in which I have stayed. However it was spotlessly clean and the bathroom in particular in the room was immaculate and modern as if just installed so the hotel take great pride in cleanliness. Service from the staff was impeccable and I loved the romantic touch of candles in pretty jars lit throughout the stone walled corridors at night. We did love it enough that we will definitely return when the weather is warmer and would certainly recommend this lovely place for a stay.

We recently stayed as we have for the last 4 years! This place was SOO special - the staff WERE amazing and the house WAS so warm and inviting ! Our visit this year sees many changes and regrettably not for the better! SERVICE - whilst some staff did their very best those in the more senior positions failed miserably with a TOTAL lack of hospitality or consideration for their guests and more so their fellow colleagues - previous visits saw staff concentrate on offering a completely friendly and hospitable level of service overall to all guests from ALL staff. APPEARANCE - the obvious level of non maintenance is there for all to see. Grounds and house NOT maintained as in previous years, a level of total disregard when commented on to the very young manager. Not even apologetic ! STAFF what can I say here - where has the team of nearly 5 years gone ? - I appreciate new owners are in situ but to lose the VITAL components for such a house is nothing short of tragic ! FUTURE - NOT looking very positive - if what we experienced this visit is what’s to come we will no longer be willing to stay and regrettably we were not alone in that decision during our stay !! RIP Team T of 2021-2025 (so sad)

Horrid atmosphere. My husband and I cane to stay for a couple of days. We witnessed a lot of the staff being aggressively shouted at by presumably the boss and management. This is a Scottish hotel selling a Scottish experience but owned by non natives who seem to treat their native staff really quite poorly. - yelling from kitchen can be overheard while eating dinner, horrible smell of the devils lettuce blustering around the car park and staff housing - average food and bad vibes - safe to say we will not be returning.

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at the magical Taychreggan where we had exclusive use of the hotel for our friends and family to celebrate my birthday. We ate lovely food in the dining room which was beautifully set up, we ceilidh danced in the orangerie, swam and canoed on the loch, sang around the fire pits and blethered in the bar. The staff were wonderful, they were so friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and enjoyment, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was warm, spotless and welcoming, the whole vibe was amazing!! We are so so grateful to Pranav and his brilliant team for creating an unforgettable weekend.

Just spent a fabulous few days at the Taychreggan hotel with family and friends. Lovely hotel, great food, fabulous tranquil location and most importantly great service from all the staff (who made us feel very welcome).

This is a beautiful hotel overlooking the loch , it’s out of the way and very private.
The food is fantastic, small menu but something for every taste.
