The room definitely was neglected there's bubblegum on the floor as well as other dirt the bed wasn't exactly made it was just throwing together

I stay at this hotel every year for UMES homecoming and this year disappointed me. On the day of trip at 9am i received a notification my card was declined (because it was locked) i was sent a notice that i need to call and pay by 12pm or my reservation would be cancelled. Mind you check in isn’t until 3pm. I called the hotel and asked why am i being charged at 9am and i cannot check in until 3pm. I was told that because it’s a really busy weekend and there are people looking for a room i need to pay now or my room would be canceled and given to someone else. I think that was horrible! This wasn’t my experience last year and shouldn’t be anyone’s experience ever. If i cannot even check in until 3pm i shouldn’t be getting charged or threatened to have my room cancelled at 9am

This is the exact correspondence that was sent to all guests that had a declining code; "Dear Guest, As stated when making the reservation your credit card must be valid for the stay. We have tried to do a pre-authorization to ensure that the given credit card is valid for the first night's room and tax. It has come up as declined. You have until 12 PM EST on 11/8 to update your credit card, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled." Sadly, there are many times that we as a hotel encounter reservations that were intended to be cancelled or were made on someone else's behalf. We do place a temporary hold on arrival reservations to protect you as the guest and the hotel. This provides an opportunity for guests to make any last minutes changes even after the cancellation period. We appreciate your understanding.

房间里有一股陈年旧味,房间外的孩子们半夜在走廊里跑来跑去,发出很大的噪音。我不得不打电话给前台。我还经历了一个笨重的步行者在我头顶上跺脚,整晚都听得见。
总体体验很差
最初订这家酒店是因为我喜欢房间,但我们订的第一个房间从来没有打扫过。到处都是灰尘,床单和被子都很脏,还有污渍。后来换了另一个房间,房间还好,但被子上沾满了粉红色的油漆和其他污渍。
订这家酒店是为了热水浴缸和游泳池,但那些看起来很糟糕。
前台服务不错,但两个不同的房间都乱糟糟的,我不喜欢。
审计员人很好。房间没有我想要的那么干净,但床很干净。浴室里有死虫子,冰箱里有一些融化的冰淇淋,但除了那几件小事之外,一切都很好。
