Walking in the building we could tell there was no air conditioning and the lobby smelled like smoke. When checking the available rooms in the first floor the JACUZZI was moldy

The photos on the listing for this property are clearly outdated, possibly even with prior management. It is clear that the current management does not keep up with maintenance of the building and rooms.
First, there is no key card monitoring for the back door of the hotel. If it gets propped open, anyone can come in.
The elevator was out of order for our stay during the holiday weekend.
The door locks automatically when you close it to the room but there is no other internal way to lock the door other than the U lock (not a chain lock but similar).
The room was not cleaned well. The bathtub looks like it had not been cleaned recently, there are stains in the tub also. The water pressure was barely enough to rinse soap off my body let alone rinse shampoo out of your hair. The air vents had dirt and hair coming out of them/had not been wiped down. The fixture where the toilet paper goes also has not been wiped down for a long time.
The room also had clearly been rearranged and paintings taken down with the nail marks in the drywall still visible and had not been patched up. Definitely could have used a coat of paint. There was a mystery stain on one of the door jambs.
There are homeless people who hang out outside the hotel.
Getting extra toilet paper or towels was a hassle because the main desk people don’t have access to the housekeeping materials apparently?
Some positive things are there were no bugs and was convenient location !

it appears that they don’t have a light up hotel sign so it is kind of difficult to locate at night. we originally booked a king suite and was given a queen room. we also vacationed for a total 3 days and our first night we found a cockroach in the room, no others after that though. they don’t service your room during your stay as advertised so clean towels and sheets, toilet paper and other amenities need to be requested at the front desk. the water pressure was kind of low and the showers squealed when the water ran. on the other hand, the hotel staff were nice and considerate. they offered light self make breakfast options in the morning.

This facility is NOT child friendly. Zero cribs available on the property. Any listing claim such is disingenuous.
Open food containers left in the elevator. Would not recommend this property to anyone. There are plenty of other options in the vicinity.

By far the best thing about the Red Roof Inn in Galloway,NJ is Leslie at the front desk. She warm kind and inviting and makes you feel like you've known her for years. Love you Leslie
