I had one night at this hotel on a business trip. The service was outstanding, however, this is generally the case in India. I was greeted kindly by efficient bus staff, and directed to check in. The check in process was a bit long. The woman at check in had many questions about my travel visa, although she couldn’t tell me why it mattered. I asked “would you turn me away if I didn’t have a visa?” She responded “no.” It begs the question why she asked. The room is okay. Like many Indian hotels, it was that “smell of humidity” like you experience at a tropical resort. Perhaps because the AC could not get any lower than 22 degrees. Here’s a tip for hotel: cold AC in rooms helps remove humidity. Otherwise, the room was average. A nice big bed, big pillows a d lots of seating. The couch provided was very comfortable. Indian hotels need to up their toilet game, and this hotel is no different. There are toilets out there that actually flush and don’t require six attempts to “get it all down.” The TV had a remote control, but only controlled the channels. It couldn’t turn off the actual TV, which requires getting up and doing it on the set - annoying when you’re about to fall asleep. Their restaurant, however, was spectacular. The staff were amazing and accommodating. Despite a menu of nearly all plant based foods, they prepared me grilled chicken breast and vegetables to align with my keto diet. My work colleagues all had plenty of local dishes to enjoy, and we happily stayed for over two hours. My only restaurant complaint was the speed of drink service. It took over 15 minutes for our beer to arrive. Finally, the worst part (at least for me as a large, Canadian ***) was the stifling heat of the common areas. The foyer, restaurant and gym were at a sauna for me, and I dripped sweat everywhere outside of my modesty cooler room. Still, for the price, I do recommend this hotel.
