Great room! We can see both Mount Baker and the Bay from here, and being on the top floor is great too.

Well-appointed 1 bedroom unit that was spacious and comfortable. Location was good for day trips. We went up to Whistler BC and to Mt Baker. A special meal at Chuckanut Manor was well worth the drive! Nice staff.

Warning. Do not book this resort, especially thru extra holidays. While this is a nice resort, company running this is deceitful. Reservation cancelled within 3 hours of arrival. When I called the resort directly to I was told that Extra Holidays, acting as the booking agent overbooked 10 rooms and there was nothing they could do. I then spoke to the Extra Holidays rep who said they could put me in a Wyndham 14 miles away. This was not the same value as I originally booked and not on the water. We paid $413 for our stay for two nights and the Wyndham hotel was regularly $97 a night. I asked why they did not choose another waterfront hotel in the area. Instead a motel style hotel to save them money. It was a bait and switch. I understand that this is owned by Wyndham. They did not offer any compensation for our troubles. Only agreed to refunded us. We had to rebook a new place and pay $120 more and we’re not immediately refunded. It was a mess. They ruined the start of our weekend and did not care. Other great waterfront choices condo choices in birch bay thru the local management companies or Airbnb/VRBO. Do not waste your time.

This resort was great overall. The only thing keeping it from a 5 rating is that in addition to “resort fees” there was a charge for cleaning. Also a fee for internet. I feel that internet should be free in any resort that wants to be current with the times. There was no air conditioning in the unit either.

Unpublished fees were charged upon check-in. Exchanged thru RCI and RCI stated additional fees may be charged, but the amount of the fees were not disclosed upfront, so you are at the mercy of the resort as to what those charges are. Also, not told upfront that the room would not have a view of the bay.

The property is undergoing renovations, however, that did not affect our stay. It was a lovely stay right across from Birch Bay. Nicely appointed rooms with everything you need to create a meal. Meticulously clean. Beds are a little soft, but all was nice overall. Nice little town.

Birch Bay is wonderful, Everyone from front desk to housekeeping could not be more helpful. Room was super clean. Great view of ocean. If we needed any thing they came right up and delivered . Very Happy with our vacation.
