We thought the property was located directly across from the Islander. That is on us for not mapping it. The amenities at the Islander where we have stayed numerous time are amazing. The villas do not have washer/driers in unit as advertised. The dishwasher had a broken latch but if you work for it you can get it to run. We had to clean any dish we wanted to use. The linens on the sleeper sofa were dirty. The unit needed to be vacuumed and mopped again. I do understand we were by the beach, so getting all sand may be impossible. We had to buy ice daily because the icemaker no longer worked. It was just very expensive for the expectation of cleanliness.

The listing is misleading and should be amended immediately. I booked this assuming that this accommodation is in the resort, which it wasn’t. It’s a couple of minutes down the highway, which might be ok for some but we were travelling with a little child so getting him ready for the car etc was already such a hassle that we had to preplan our visits to the resort. The first photo of the listing is literally the resort so you can see the confusion.
Secondly, the rooms smelled damp and mouldy. We were immediately alarmed as we didn’t want our baby to be exposed to a possible mould. The listing says ‘brand new’ but we were later told that the place hadn’t been touched up for years since The Islander bought the place. The staff was very kind and moved us to a different unit immediately but we lost a day of our holiday (one of two sunny days while we were there) due to the hassle of packing, moving etc. The second unit was an ‘upgrade’ by the bay but it still smelled musty. All of our clothes stank of mould once I unpacked our luggage back home.

Neat apartment with very comfortable beds! Also a nice kitchen with dining table. No 24/7 front desk on site, but just a 5 min drive to the main Islander resort. We were also allowed to make use of all the facilities at the main resort.

We loved our stay at Bayside Villas. We loved the access to both Bayside and Oceanside, the activities were great! Beautiful rooms, grounds! We will definitely return in the future.

We checked in to find that the Villa had a horrible smell of either mildew or mold. Very musty. Walls were touched up with paint that didn't match. One of the appliances was dinging with an alarm. I didn't even look around at anything else because of the smell! I was told they had been remodeled over the summer, but I could not imagine that they were. They were advertised as brand new, so we had booked two villas for our stay. We went to the service desk and ask for other rooms, but they told us they all smell the same. We purchase the room with the "Bay View" that we paid $1000 more than the other one. Don't waste your money! No view! They did accommodate us nicely at the Islander with very nice rooms and I gave them a good review!!!
