You booked my family to a motel that was closed for renovations. After a 13 hour drive we arrive to find the motel was closed. A staff person

There was NO stay because when we arrived at the hotel, there was a note on the front entrance stating: CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. We are requesting a refund of the $176.35 that was paid at the time of the booking on August 14, 2024.

We showed up to the hotel at 9pm after hours of driving, only to find the hotel was CLOSED. Why couldn't they (or *******) notify customers - with reservations - that the place isn't even open?

The property/ hotel was hit hard by the hurricane. I understand that, but what I did not understand. Is why I was never told that they were closed because of the damage. Tell I made the 5 hour trip there and then I found out the they were closed.

Disgusting
Very dirty room. Unfriendly staff. Sheets were stained, floor had stains, nasty condition off room was enough to prevent us from returning to this hotel.

They closed and didn’t notify us. We drive up (2 hour drive) and when we got there we were told they won’t reopen until sometime in November. We got there around 6:30 pm. They said we were notified but we hadn’t neither by them or Orbitz of the cancellation. When they found out we had made our reservation through Orbitz, we were told @Oh yeah, we’ve had a few people come to check in today that were through ******* that we real we hadn’t canceled.” Then I looked at my email and saw they notified me at 5:27 pm the day of the reservation. Check in is anytime after 3pm . We were on the road with small children and had no room when we got there. This is not acceptable. No one who booked through ******* had been notified. Most hotels in the area were sold out but we did find one because we needed somewhere for the children to rest so we spent $100 more than we had planned. We won’t book here again.

The noise level in the hotel makes it seem like they forgot the soundproofing. Heard loud music, loud stomping footsteps, voices past 10pm and before 7am.

This stay was simply to get a refuge from the tropical storm/hurricane Debby. Staff was great. Room was as we requested since my husband is on oxygen and can't walk far. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was exceptional. My only complaint was the blinds wouldn't open. Manager said the part was ordered to fix it. This will be my go to place from now on
