Room was clean but there were buckets in hallway like the roof is licking and it's just old property I don't feel like it's been remodeled in a long time

The property was pretty filthy and our particular room was even worse. Water damaged ceiling and an electrical plug in behind the night stand had no cover plate. Room had a funny smell as well. Wish I could post pictures for reference. This place is not well kept. I reserved a king bed and when I got there they didn’t have any kings and up charged me for two queens. I should have just left.

Dumpy, dilapidated, overbooked non-smoking rooms
The property is old and poor repair. The door locks to the rooms, barely work and require multiple tries to unlock. I had to get management to help me once and I’m not other guest did as well. I booked a non-smoking room, but they gave me a smoking room and then tried to claim that it wasn’t a smoking room, even though I could smell the smoke and feel it in my lungs underneath the room deodorizer they used. I was able to open the window, which had no screen, and air off the room and we were able to make it through the night without major breathing problems,. The person serving breakfast in the morning was in shorts and a T-shirt.
