Room was clean and big. A little dated and the bathroom is small but that's ok. Staff was very nice and it was great having a full scale restaurant on site. Also, Walmart and a grocery store about a 3 minute walk away. Very convenient location right beside I-95.

Convenient on/off highway. Shopping nearby, attached to a reputable restaurant that is accessed from a corridor. Comfy bed, gas fireplace. A good nights rest!

I thought the breakfast area at this hotel was well stocked cleand and I loved how we could easily take it to go. The lady behind the counter was so friendly!! We will absolutely stay at this hotel again when in this area.

We stayed because of the restaurant governors
We Paid $200. Nightly. The room next door was rented to teenagers. Hanging out the window. With golf clubs. Banging on the walls and doors all night. So loud. I called the front desk. They said “we’re not responsible for the room being rented.”my sister called ,She asked where we were I told her fireside Inn so we could all meet at Governor's for dinner. The front desk said they were closed for maintenance. My sister said it was because of mice. What! I pulled it up on Maine news “Govenor restaurant closed because of mice. “Before we read the article “My husband said it sounded like something scratching under his bed. For three nights.,Now I believe him.i really wish we did not stay there. Our trip to Maine was awesome. Fireside inn was our only downfall.
All the other hotels were all booked. Otherwise we could have left. That makes sense now that everything around here was rented. People must of read the articles. I totally feel we should get a refund for the three nights. $200. Per night.( $600 total…).

I would like to clear up a common misconception that is shared by many of our guests. Governor's Restaurant leases the Kitchen, Dining Room and Meeting rooms from the hotel. They are separately owned and managed. They provide their own maintenance. We are separate entities. That said, when the Maine State Health Inspector arrived in response to the mouse complaint from Governor's, their inspection did not end with just the restaurant. Our Executive Housekeeper accompanied the Inspector through out the hotel; checking the storage areas, Laundry Room, Offices, Hallways, and Maid Closets, as well as the Exterior of the building. The hotel passed the State Health Inspection that day; if not, we would have been closed too. The hotel contracts with a Pest Management Company to control insect and rodent problems. There are a dozen strategically and inconspicuously placed rodent bait traps around the building. They are inspected and updated as needed every other week, year round. These traps were also checked on the day of the complaint, by our Pest Management company; they were all clear. Finally, all of our beds sit on steel mattress pedestals, rodents cannot get under our beds. There have been no complaints of mice in any of our rooms either before or after your stay. The weekend of your stay was Indigenous Peoples Weekend (Formerly Columbus Day). It is historically a very busy weekend in Waterville and many other cities in Maine. Each year on this weekend, Golf teams from High Schools throughout the State of Maine gather for a Fall Tournament at the Waterville Country Club. The young gentlemen in the room next to yours, for one night, were from a high school in Aroostook County. There are no windows in our hotel that anyone can "hang" out of. Though they may have been out on the balcony of their room. I have spoken with the outstanding Front Desk Associates on duty that Friday night. Neither of them recall fielding any complaints. We did use your comments to review our standard response to such complaints. We contact the team coach or a chaperone. The coach's room was just down the hall from the golfer's room. Our Housekeeping, Maintenance and Front Desks staff are some of the best Hospitality employees in Waterville. They work exceptionally hard to provide economical, clean, comfortable rooms and warm friendly service to all of our guests. It is dispiriting to read that we did not meet your expectations. Great value!! It is an old building, but our room was very clean. Towels were fluffy and bedding was very nice. We brought our dog and they made that super easy (we were on the ground floor right by the door).

The pictures of this motel are not this motel.
The motel is right in a town traffic all night.
Place is dirty and flies kept us awake all night, we probably killed 20 flies. Room smells, beds are uncomfortable. I think ******* should make sure the property is the one in the pictures.

I have reviewed our web site, and the 3rd Party Website that you made your reservation through. All of those pictures are of our property, and they are all recent--within the last 12 months. The photo of one of our rooms with 2 Queen-sized beds is in fact the room adjacent to the room you occupied, and they are mirror images of each other. Our hotel is noted for its proximity to Interstate 95 and local shopping, it is in a high traffic area. I would also note that we are consistently cited by our guests for providing very clean rooms. I personally checked the room that you stayed in and found no flies or any signs of a fly issue in that room, nor have we had any complaints regarding flies in the past few years. We have a pest management company here every other week to control insects.
