** We went in May 2024 but cannot go back that far ** We had a great time here, from the great view, the great location and close proximity to the shops. We could not fault it. I will attach some pictures because words cannot do it justice. We truly cannot fault it. Definitely will be back once it has had the refurbishment it was planning.

The people match the beauty of this authentic island! You can sit back & relax amongst the beauty of the beaches & lush greenery. So much to do on the doorstep, walk into town (everyone will hi 5 u with a smile), grab a beer, shop, party on a Friday night (an absolute must), just go with the flow. It's such a shame the mystique is closing...we had the most magical holiday made by all who work so tirelessly with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. From bar staff through to restaurant & reception, they were all amazing! The swim up bar staff were superb, always up for a good time, singing, dancing, quizzing. I cannot find a single fault! So sad that we can't return to this lovely hotel, it's like a family you want to go back & spend more time with, they are that good at making you so welcome. By far, the friendliest island I have ever visited. One love!

We visited just before it was due to be closed and i was very impressed. I couldn't really fault the hotel at all. Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and tidy. Food was good at the buffet and the pool and beach were great. If it was still open we would go again.

What a fantastic hotel, this is a gem of a hotel. Yes it is an older hotel but this added to its charm. Rooms are huge, cleaned daily and bed was also huge and comfortable. All rooms have a view of pool and sea. Before we went we were worried by the negative reviews but have no idea what they were talking about as it felt like they were talking about a different hotel. The staff were so friendly from day 1 and this wasn't because we tipped them as we do this at the end of a holiday. The other hotel guests were also friendly and we made so many new friends who made our holiday special. The staff would make different cocktails that were not on the menu. Every staff member we came across would welcome you with a smile and check you were having a good holiday. The sea was a delight to take a swim in and walk along. We did a few trips whilst there. We did a private taxi tour of the island and picked what we wanted to see and had an amazing day out. Highlight was the zipwire tour, I was scared as don't like heights or rides but was put at ease straight away and the guides made it so much fun. We also wandered into Rodney Bay and went yo the Friday Street party. Such fun. It is such as shame this hotel is being closed and demolished as feel it may lose its charm. Everyone we spoke to agreed and described it as paradise. It has the best beach of the island with fantastic views. I would have returned if it was going to remain how it is. For those reading reviews and concerned, don't be it is amazing. I shed a tear or 2 when I left as we made such fantastic memories. It is very hot there and you can burn under the shade and the clouds so take high factor sun cream. I made the mistake but Pierre the gardener got me some aloe Vera plant and explained how to apply and it worked wonders. Big thank you to Marthalina Johana, Patricia, Jonathan, Huston, Holland, Sharisa, jasmine, chantal to name a few staff members that made our stay so memorable.

Amazing views and a great location compared to other hotels in the area. The pool area is also lovely and has a pool bar. Unfortunately the hotel is outdated as we got locked in our room as the lock jammed. Thankfully our neighbours who had an adjoining room rescued us as reception didn't understand. We also didn't see any lifts in the hotel so we had to carry our suitcases up and down the stairs. The food wasn't great and not much choice. For the drinks they used cheap alcohol so it wasn't the best. The evening entertainment wasn't great either and was disappointing.

My partner and I have just returned home after spending a week at mystique for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful stay. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was huge! The bathroom was slightly outdated but still perfectly functional. We had only a minor issue with water pressure on a couple of days but it really wasn’t a problem, if you just wait a couple of minutes the pressure returns (apparently water pressure is an issue across the whole island). The rooms were cleaned to a good standard each day and water and tea making facilities topped up. The pool area was lovely and the swim up bar always had a nice atmosphere and was well stocked. There are plenty of beds however not many sunshades so you’d need to get up early each day and put towels out if you want a shade. The beach was stunning and there is some great snorkelling to the left end of the beach by the rocks (definitely worth bringing a snorkel!) The buffet food was very nice though did tend to be a variation of the same dishes each day eg salad/rice/chicken/fish so we did get a bit bored of eating the same thing by the end of the week. The beach hut Mahis offered some good western alternatives for lunch if you didn’t fancy the buffet. We enjoyed a meal at the Chic restaurant on two nights which was really lovely (you have to book but don’t have to pay extra) There was evening entertainment some nights with a very relaxed feel however there are plenty of other bars nearby if you’re looking for more of a party atmosphere. We would absolutely recommend coming to Mystique. We were nervous after reading some of the reviews before we left, however if this is you, don’t fear, you will have a great time! We would highly recommend the Friday night street party and the catamaran trip. (Early 30 somethings, Gloucestershire UK)
