Positives-Room was clean and mostly in good repair
Negatives- only 2 pillows provided for a queen bed and the owners keep the office door locked all the time and I had to stand in the rain for several minutes before they came to let me check in.

Parking was ample and easy to get to. The sign said OPEN, but you had to use the doorbell to get someone to unlock the door to get in. There was no running water in the bathroom sink. The refrigerator was set on 8 of 9 which froze my fruit and salad - my mistake for not checking it. The bathtub could use a curved shower curtain. The hotel is set right by the road which is next to the railroad tracks. 1st night 3 trains about 89 cars each, then semi trucks going through town, maybe a barrier wall to cut down the noise?? I don't believe I would rent there again.

I’ll start this out by saying we don’t stay in hotels often but we also don’t have high standards. Check in was “ok”. As a single female staying with two children, I was extremely disappointed that the deadbolt didn’t work on the door nor was there the top lock, I ended up having to prop a chair in front of the door to ensure my children didn’t leave the room while I was sleeping.
If you just need something cheap and don’t mind the smell of curry on your bedsheets you’ll be fine.

An uncomfortable stay — we left early
We booked two nights but ended up forfeiting the second night and finding another place to stay. That’s how uncomfortable this hotel was.
From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that basic functionality was lacking. Half the lamps didn’t work, the light switch was non-functional, and none of the accessible outlets provided power. The carpet was grimy and felt unclean, the remote control was sealed in a plastic bag (which felt more suspicious than sanitary), and the bed was thin and uncomfortable, with equally flimsy pillows. A few of the pieces of furniture were visibly damaged, and the vanity lights were mismatched, adding to the overall sense of neglect.
When we checked out early and shared our concerns with the front desk, there was no apology, no offer to switch rooms, and no indication that our feedback was taken seriously. The lack of customer service was just as disappointing as the condition of the room.
Additionally, there’s a confusing discrepancy in the hotel’s branding. Online, it appears as “Capital O Stevenson Inn Riverside” and in online photos is associated with Rodeway Inn, but on maps and signage, it’s simply “Stevenson Inn.” This inconsistency made it difficult to even confirm we were at the right place.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This hotel is good spot for travelers like me. Quiet area, close to the scenic Columbia River.
The local food spots are friendly and welcoming.
Beds are comfortable and service is friendly.
Its rough at first but the rooms are clean and well kept. Stevenson, WA is a good place visit and spend some time at.
