Our group of families has had a permanent Easter booking at Sanctuary for the past 10 years and have loved the experience, until this year. In mid 2024 the management rights were sold to Stay AU and we were advised that the rate for our 5 cottages would increase by an average of 70% for 2025. After a minor rate concession we decided to keep our booking. Normally we would arrive on Easter Friday to freshly cleaned bright breezy cottages. This time we arrived to lock boxes and dank cottages that were unclean. Rubbish in the internal bins, fridges not cleaned out, dirty benches and cupboards, etc, etc. It was also obvious that no external cottage maintenance or ground maintenance had been carried out. The central BBQ was uncovered with animal droppings scattered on the hotplate and the children's playground was littered with needle thistles. We have detailed the issues with each of the cottages and the grounds directly to Stay AU and they are "looking into it". Such a disappointment after 9 wonderful years.

The Loft. It was potentially beautiful ... rabbits and rosellas delighting the senses and front windows overlooking a large grassed area of beautiful trees ... with distant mountains in the background. Internally the basins, toilets, shower and spa were clean but some timbered and metal areas were badly in need of attention. I had to dust the wardrobe and drawers before using and I could not get the downstairs tele and stereo to operate. I would return because of the surrounding beauty.

This was our second stay here and we loved it. The cabins are cute, private, warm, charming, perfect for a family of four and spotlessly clean. Beds have comfy pillows and doonas and I love the log fire place 🪵 🔥 The staff were great, attentive but left you to your own. The breakfast provisions were great - high quality and the kitchen fully equipped for all meals. Loved watching the bunnies in the morning and feeding the goats. Location is great - close to all you need. Will return. Thank you.

The spa bath was nice. They had plenty of wood for the fireplace and it is clean. However, This place is overpriced for what it provides. The pool is not clean or heated. It is not indoor, it has a roof over it and is outside. The bed is quite uncomfortable. On their website, it says that they provide “massage treatments and includes a spa centre and hot tub” this is all false. The property has no WiFi so keep that in mind. Bring DVDS if you use them 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ There’s a notice in the kitchen, where you get charged $40 for any dishes left in the sink.

Beautiful, quiet spot with goats, rabbits and other wildlife visitors. We stayed in the Lakeview Cottage which was very comfortable. Breakfast provisions were provided for us to enjoy and the bed was very comfortable.
