The staff are very nice. However, the overall room cleanliness, bathroom, and beds are terrible. We saw the roaches running. The first room we got had no hot water. The front desk call the manager and agreed to switch to a suite. The suite also looked dirty too. The bathtub water was clog a little. We heard the dogs were barking. Other rooms customers talked so so loud. I have never experience anything like that.

Stayed for four nights over Thanksgiving. The staff were great. Always welcoming and happy to help. The property is old so the rooms and the furniture are not new. The chair in the room could stand a good cleaning as it was stained. However the room was clean, and stocked with the basics. The plumbing is older and the toilet did run for long periods, think just a few new parts would fix the issue. The walls are thin and you do hear activity in the neighboring rooms and hall. The elevator did go out a few times so had to take the stairs. Not a big deal for us, but if you need an elevator you may want a first floor room. The location is convenient and has a Dunkin next door. Uber eats delivers to your room with no issues. Overall it was a nice stay. It’s an older hotel but not uncomfortable or dirty. I did not see any bugs, like other reviews say. I would stay again if we needed a room in Deland.

Poor security. Frontdesk by itself. Uncontrolled access to the hotel. My family and I felt unsafe in the breakfast room when a homeless person entered and began preparing several plates of food for himself.

Negative first: floor number in elevator not working (nearly got off on wrong floor as a result). Also noted the elevator inspection certificate had expired.
Positive: WONDERFUL front desk people, room very clean & properly appointed, good parking and, while we did not partake, the breakfast bar smelled very inviting! Did I mention reasonable room rate??

The room itself was ok, a little on the dark side even with all the lights on. The bathroom needs attention! The hair dryer didn’t work, the toilet only flushed when the handle was held down for the entire time to make sure all was flushed, the bathroom faucet had a steady stream of water, not drips - a constant stream. It was obvious it’s been like that for some time because the stopper was corroded from the water keeping it wet.
