Hotel has done renovations since COVID? However some of the design are not good any more: the bedside tables have sharp edges and could cause injuries for some active sleepers! The LG tv is very old and tiny and can even describe as unwatchable most of the time. The restaurant has terrible cooking: hard and not eatable lamp chops ( eat one piece and sent back two pieces ); ordered chicken instead and also overcooked and hard.... Manager refused to cancel one dish which is silly since lamb chop was Zar 290 ( which is roughly usd16)..... Will not stay in ANY of their hotels again!

Bed was excellent, in short the room was excellent and the bathroom was well organized with everything to use in the bathroom. And the room keepers the clean the rooms everyday. The replace things that needed to replace.the room was excellent

We had to fly up to Jhb unexpectedly as my mother passed away. We chose City Lodge Bryanston as it is directly opposite the hospital where my mother had been and is also close to her home. The staff were so welcoming and supportive and even gave us a compassionate discount because of our circumstances. Each member of staff was friendly and courteous and went out of their way to be of service. We are returning in October for my mother's memorial and will be staying at the City Lodge Bryanston again as we know that we will be very well looked after.

TV doesn’t work, not even switching on, 1 charging point in the whole room, dirty carpet, no tissues, no bar fridge limited space for baggage. TV is tiny and placed in an awkward corner, overall horrible experience, I think they are only running because it is convenient right next to the hospital. They charge a high price and don’t offer anything worthwhile, doors are scraped and old, bathroom door doesn’t lock, more like a dungeon door, hits you if you are sitting on the toilet there is no space to open the door,

The speed point machine didn't work on checking in and I had to be sent a pay link. After a series of trying to make payment and I was embarrassed infront of my woman. Got to the room the safe is not working it had to be fixed infront of us. I asked for pool towels from reception the African guy wearing a suit said we must go to the pool and the towels will be given to us, so my wife must walk naked around the hotel pass reception like really. The group of boys booked at the hotel made a horrible noise on the corridors, walking around the hotel with speakers box till late at night in the morning it was them at 05h00 making noise the was no order or what so ever. Breakfast time they ticked our names then the was no seat offer or even told how is the service, is it self service or you get served and none of the stuff came to check on us or to greet us and check how was our night. One of the stuff a white guy eating bacon near the stove in the kitchen holding it with his hands I mean we buy this food and he dips his hands in our food no. After we went to the pool the was 3 outside beds and limited chairs this boys and girls didn't give other guest a chance to use the pool and worse while we are swimming the girls come from the match with their sweaty kit and jumped in the pool and the management said nothing. We felt disrespected by this. It was my woman's birthday but you guys ruined it big time. The house keeper has no way of talking to people the one cleaning ground floor. But Mr Aaron, the chef and security guards beautiful job

Noise in the corridor, TV and aircon not working , reported to reception no assistance food was not up to standard , carpet in the room did not look clean, cant recommend to anyone, if I had a choice could have booked somewhere else bathroom was clear , towels where not soft enough to use,
