We normally stay at a different hotel chain but needed to be in this specific area where my preferred chain does not have a location. My husband wanted to keep it “budget”, so that’s what we did. The property is in a good location and is walkable to a sandwich shop and a Mexican restaurant. Other food options would need a car or an Uber. Upon arrival, check in was without problems. The reception area was clean. Our room was on the second floor away from the elevator. The room was quiet, and the AC was cold. Breakfast was continental but adequate. The gym had a treadmill, elliptical, and a bike but no weights. There was no used towel receptacle or trash can in the gym. Furnishings in our room could use an upgrade (couch had a large hole, hairdryer didn’t work, phone was non functioning and wiring pulled from the wall-all reported to management but not fixed during our stay). Management was polite but not friendly. All in all it was adequate for our needs but I would not stay here again.

I was very surprised that the room didn’t come with a mini fridge and microwave. I assumed that was pretty standard

The drain in the bathtub was broken, so no baths. Our coffee machine was broken but luckily we could go downstairs to get some. The furniture was filthy and greasy.

Had to ask to get the room cleaned. Ran out of towels two days in a row, had to ask for soap and shampoo, fire alarms going off all times of the night, drink machines ripped me off three times, people in the halls having arguments at 200am, beds and pillows are completely worn out, breakfast was not as advertised, outside entry doors were not locked at night. A very bad experience. I will not stay at any Microtel again, even if was free. Stay away.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities were older but clean and well kept. Only issue was two of the three nights the smoke detectors went off. Once late in the evening and once early morning. Pretty sure it was due to someone trying to smoke in their room.

Nice clean hotel. Breakfast was great, more than your average continental breakfast. Rooms were a little smaller than normal, but functional. Would stay there again.
