From Madurai to Thekaddy ( Kearal one could stop at Gawmariammman Temple of Pandiayn dynasty ( 1500 years old). Thekaddy is very good Hill station. On reaching there book two different cultural shows in continuation for the evening @150 each and for morning boof Periyaar lake ferry @120. Buy masala ( spices) for gifting @100/. Ice apple and passion fruit is novelty for northerners. Good fish and crab dishes are available at local bazaar. Mahindra is a good stay value for money. Also there are many home stay which are equally exciting. If plannong to go to Munnar do not waste time in Thekady spice garden as much better and bigger spice garden lies on the way to explore. During rains thejady is more beautiful and Romantic. Buy Rain coats @ 100 and enjoy rian. Home stay woul give a cycle to locally loitre. Three wheeler rate is Rs 30/ loaclly any where.

Very Poor Maintenance – Disappointing Experience at Club Mahindra Thekkady I recently stayed at Club Mahindra Thekkady (Kumily) and was extremely disappointed with the poor maintenance and service. After overnight travel with my family, we were allotted a room in very bad condition—dirty curtains and cushions, unpleasant smell, poor bedding, broken side lamp, improper bed placement, and worn-out furniture. Even after requesting a room change, the alternate room was also not up to Club Mahindra standards. This was highly uncomfortable and frustrating. Adding to the disappointment, I received repeated calls for maintenance fee collection, but when I raised my unresolved complaint, I was told they could not help and only warned about late fees. As a Club Mahindra member for nearly 15 years, this has been one of my worst experiences. I have raised the issue on the member portal (Service Request #144890) and hope the management takes corrective action.

We had the most magical holiday at Club Mahindra Thekkady. The stall was amazing. The chef went out of his way to prepare vegan meals for our family.

Seems like they are understaffed. Staff service was very poor, they do things at their own pace not keeping the needs of customer in mind. We asked for room to be cleaned, and they said they will do after 2 pm. When we reminded at 2.30 pm, they said after 2.. they had no intention of clearing the room when the customer wants it. We reminder 4 times and still the room isn’t cleaned still. When we asked for some butter cubes to be sent to the room, they said they will charge for 500 g butter.. this was ridiculous. Old property, not maintained well. Overall completely below standard for a club mahindra resort. Not recommended to visit here

The resort is maintained very well, almost the beauty of Thekkady, Kerala. Staff are all very friendly. We had a very pleasant stay. Thanks to all the staff here who made it an amazing experience. The swimming pool was cleaned and well maintained.

Club Mahindra Thekkady is a lovely heritage property nestled in a serene array of lush greenery....slightly old but well maintained....perfect for a quiet and leisurely vacation for 2 to 3 nights....everything is available at a walking distance....the property manager Jaison Joseph leads the team....extremely alert and very sensitive to guests' needs....always taking rounds of the entire property....we gorged on the lovely breakfasts and dinners..... very very good dishes with lots of variety and a good mix of local and non-local cuisines....the yound lady and the gentleman in the restaurant last evening were extremely warm and organised some quick snacks and hot beverages on our request although we reached them well past their one hour evening snacks closing time of 5.30 pm.....we were really moved....hats off to team Thekkady led by Jaison.....

The best property in Thekkady. I stayed there for 2 nights, Its near to the main market of Thekkady, Very near to the booking counter and parking of the Periyar Forest Boating. Also veery near to the Gov Approved show point of Khathakali and Kalaripayattu. I booked 2 rooms, 1 of them was good other was a bit old and needs lots of maintenance, I wont say much as I have shown the pictures to the front desk people. They have all the modern basic amenities we may need in a room. They gave me a good offer for food, the quality of the food is okay and the spread too is resonable. Don't expect too many options during the off seasons but whatever they give is good enough. The pool and the pool guy is good and helpful. the pool was clean. They have good parking space as well. Kids area is also good. Service was also wonderful and quick I thank for making our stay comfortable and happy.

It is a 2.5 star property. Our studio room was large but dark and dingy and in disrepair. Property is small. Location is good. Keep very low expectations for this property. Food was very good and tasty. Staff were very good as well.
