While traveling, my wife and I were hungry and tired and decided to pull over for the night in Charleston, MO. Big mistake. Restaurant and lodging options are limited in Charleston. Still, we found a Mexican restaurant that was open and the food was decent. Lodging at the Quality Inn was a different story. So, in an effort to be helpful, let me suggest a few changes they should consider: 1. Repair the ice machine - no ice 2. Swap out shower heads that allow water to flow 3. Do a deep cleaning of room 201 to eradicate smoke odor 4. Pressure wash the sidewalks and handrails to remove (excessive) bird fecal matter 5. Upgrade breakfast beyond waffle and cereal options and make sure coffee is available until at least 8:30 6. Maintain the landscape

I was here for an overnight stay at this hotel, and I must say that this hotel does not need to be part of the Choice Hotels brand. When I tried to turn the TV on, I found that the remote control did not have batteries inside. I tried to call the front desk but found that the phone was inoperative. Therefore, I had to take a walk to the front desk. The front desk clerk was very helpful and assisted and obtaining batteries to operate the remote control. After returning to the room, I still couldn't get the TV to operate, and after further doing some troubleshooting, I found the TV and the cable box to be unplugged. The next morning, when I looked inside the freezer, I found there was a box of food that was left, which is an indication that the staff did not do their job in cleaning the room. I also found that the alarm clock had quite a bit of dust on top of it and that it also had frayed cord that was plugged into the lamp on the nightstand, which is a big safety issue. The lamps looked old and rusted and should be replaced. The on/off button for the AC unit was worn out, and you could barely turn the unit on . Also, the next morning, when I went to the ice machine to get some ice, I found the machine was not operative. I brought it to the attention of the desk clerk and was given an unprofessional response ( that is not my responsibility. I don't have anything to do with it) I was very stunned at the comment and just turned and walked away. My advice is to stay clear of this facility.

酒店回复: Dear Bikerder1026, Thank you for sharing your feedback, though I am truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. Your experience is far from the high standards we aim to maintain, and I apologize for the issues you encountered during your visit. First, I sincerely regret the inconvenience you faced with the TV remote and the inoperative phone in your room. It’s concerning that these issues weren't addressed in a timely manner, and I appreciate your patience as you walked to the front desk for assistance. While I’m glad the front desk clerk was able to help with the remote, I deeply apologize for the continued trouble with the TV and cable box. This should have been checked before your arrival, and we will ensure that our maintenance team performs more thorough inspections in the future. Additionally, the cleanliness issues you mentioned, such as the leftover food in the freezer, dust on the alarm clock, and the safety concern with the frayed cord, are completely unacceptable. We will be addressing these concerns with our housekeeping team to ensure that these issues are corrected immediately. The condition of the lamps, AC unit, and ice machine are also concerning, and I apologize for these deficiencies. Your experience with the ice machine and the response you received from the desk clerk is particularly troubling. That is certainly not the level of service we expect from our team, and we will also be addressing this unprofessional behavior to ensure that future guest interactions are handled with respect and courtesy. We take all feedback seriously, and your review will help us make necessary improvements. I understand your frustration and truly regret that we did not meet your expectations during your stay. I sincerely hope that you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with a much more positive experience.

Charleston is very expensive and we were on a budget. The lovely lady at reception was able to get the price down to a more affordable rate for us. There is delicious pink lemonade and coffee available at all times and a good breakfast. There are several decent places to eat nearby, with walking distance and downtown Charleston in’s a short drive away. Would recommend this hotel.

Booked through Priceline after reading the pet policy. Arrived to take the room, and at first they said they couldn't find the reservation. Once they were able to call Priceline and verify that I did have a reservation (a 20+ minute process) they then said that I didn't have a room that allowed pets, and to change to one that did with would be another $70 and they would require a room deposit. I once again deferred to the advertised rate on Priceline and what was listed as included. They ended up telling me to leave and not doing a refund. Cannot recommend staying, or even booking here. Someone with a 'dozer should just take down this waste of space and burden to the community.

This hotel has horrible customer service. The man accused me of booking smoking rooms (when I have email proof I didn’t) and then wouldn’t let us change to non smoking rooms even though he said they were available. He wouldn’t even let us book again (essentially paying for 4 rooms). The corporate office sent me back to the hotel owner and I have yet to get a response. The super 8 down the street is absolutely worth staying at. This hotel deserves negative stars but that isn’t an option.

I’m a sixty five year old handicap woman so before making my reservation I called the hotel to confirm that they had a downstairs room available. She was waiting on another customer so she put me on hold and came back after finishing with them and confirmed that she had a downstairs for me. I completed the reservation online and drove the 1.7 miles to the hotel. Less than 5 minutes after talking to her. .She told me then that she didn’t have a downstairs. I told her to cancel the reservation then that I couldn’t climb the stairs. She refused to cancel it because it was after 4 and I told her that I had only made the reservation because she told me they had a downstairs room that she needed to cancel the reservation. At this point she went totally psycho and started screaming at me to get out or she was going to call the police. I told please do and that I was calling Choice while we waited for them and get it cancelled. She continued screaming at me while I was on hold with Choice and then went to the back room. In a few minutes she returned still screaming and said her boss had canceled the reservation. What she didn’t know was that the gentleman with me was an off duty police officer and would have been more than happy to speak with the police she threatened me with.

与我住过的其他精选酒店相比,这里的欧陆式早餐没有达到预期。床非常难睡。不过客户服务还是不错的。
