We had a twin room which was not in the main building. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and the bathroom was very nice. Everything you would want. We didn't eat in the pub or have breakfast as we were going to an early afternoon event which was serving food. We did have a drink and were surprised at the price of the drinks. They were very reasonable. There was a Wetherspoons next door so maybe that was due to the competition. We were right in the centre of Hitchin, which is a lovely place. Some very nice shops and really interesting. We were there for 2 days and had a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Downstairs bar area / outside great. Rooms amd especially bathroom dated, old, dirty....
Staff very friendly and helpful.

Sun Hotel
The staff Sean, Monika and Erin were exceptional. They were friendly, personable, accommodating, attentive and polite. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel menu had a good variety and the food was excellent. It was a great place to stay!

Great location but hotel could do with some TLC
Stayed for one night - the hotel is in an excellent position and the breakfast was nice - however the room was really tired and the shower room well needed attention smelt musty and the shower is way to small and I’m not big - a finally positive was the bed was comfortable although not big enough if you are over 5ft8.

Spot on for a quick overnight stay. Bang in the middle of this nice market town with the huge bonus of its own parking. Room was absolutely fine and breakfast was a bit of a bargain for both continental and cooked to order options. Had all the classic pub food available but was surrounded by restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay again if I return. Nice one!

Great place to stay or unwind
This is my go to place now when in the area. 5* for everything from location to staff and reasonably priced. No negatives at all
