Sol Cypress is a beautiful escape near the River Walk without being in the middle of the noise and crowds. The location is perfect. It is walkable and convenient but far enough from the more touristy areas to feel peaceful and safe. My absolute favorite item is the sparkling water machine near the entrance. The hotel itself is stunning. From the crisp and pristine linens to the thoughtful design details throughout the space, everything feels intentional and high end. The staff clearly takes pride in their work and it shows. Josh in particular went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. His attention to detail and professionalism made a lasting impression. If you are looking for a refined and relaxing place to stay in San Antonio, Sol Cypress is an excellent choice. I will definitely be back.

I give Sol Cypress, San Antonio, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel a 10 out of 10! The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s not located in the “heart” of the San Antonio River Walk — which I personally love. It’s peaceful and quiet, yet still only about a 10-minute walk to the main River Walk area. The drive to the The Alamo and other historic sites is only about 5 minutes, making it the perfect balance of convenience and relaxation. The rooms are spotless, and the price point is excellent for the quality you receive. If you can, book a balcony room — it’s incredibly peaceful and relaxing. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Every team member is welcoming, kind, and genuinely goes above and beyond for their guests. I’ve stayed here several times — both while working remotely and visiting family (I’m from San Antonio) — and the staff remembered me and my previous stays. That level of personal attention speaks volumes. If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful, clean hotel with outstanding service on the San Antonio River, I 100% recommend Sol Cypress by Marriott.

The hotel sits on the river walk, a bit away from the tourist attractions and restaurants and closer to the Pearl area. The hotel is nice, staff is attentive and rooms clean. The room had a bit of a odor that smelled like it was coming from the river. Did not eat in the restaurant and had pizza / beer a short walk to Back Unturned Brewing Co. and then ate in the Pearl at Down on Grayson. Both were good. Quiet hotel if you are looking to be closer to the Pearl and a bit away from the main action.
