We decided to do a last minute trip to Port Alfred to spend the Weekend celebrating with family who were also renting accommodation in PA. We were very fortunate to find (the very last available!!) accommodation at Villa Vista Guest House. My first thought was that this may be dodgy, this being the only B&B still available! Jurie Wessels, the owner, was most helpful and so polite and friendly, immediately allaying any fears of this being "sub-standard". Well what a surprise on arriving at Villa Vista. There was Jurie waiting for us and ushering us into the lovely grounds of his impressive establishment. The room was really well appointed and comfortable. Everything in good working order with the usual tea and coffee supplies, but more than that, a lovely plate of Christmas mince pies and cookies. Lovely touch Jurie!! The breakfasts were really great. Fresh table with cereals, three yogurts, fruit, cheese and cold meat. Notably every morning they were freshly placed, not "left overs from yesterday". Jurie always on hand to satisfy whatever our wish was for the hot side of things. Eggs however we wanted them with the a variety of delicious side accompaniments. Coffee brilliant!! We will definitely return should our paths take us that way again. Thank you Jurie and your very friendly staff for a great stay at Villa Vista.
