From the moment we checked in, we knew we picked the perfect campground for our 2 week vacation! All staff were very kind and knowledgeable. Check in was a breeze and we felt welcomed. Everything at Bear Cave is clean, the grounds trimmed and cared for. As grand parents we see the value in the play area with equipment and our 10-12 yr olds really enjoyed the game room, ping pong and juke box! We are retired and havent looked at the actuvity schedule, so arent much help sharing those offerings to you. We love the very clean seimming pool and spent much time there. The only recommendation would be to update the pool shower and bathroom area building. Although cared for well, it needs some money spent updating. The setting along the river is lovely, nice dock area...wish we had a pontoon boat! . Our site was large, level enough for our 42' Class A rig w toad and all hook-ups in good working condition. We use a T-mobile tower and had no trouble streaming movies, news in the evening. Cell service for us was better in some parts of the cg than others. Might just be our reception with T-mobile...we saw several repeaters in the park. The trails on the property are well maintained, offernsome hilly areas and a waterfall. (The cave itself is under reconstruction to be reinforced, hope that happens timely, we all enjoyed it a lot a couple years back) Lastly, we love the location being able to visit the small towns nearby. Buchanan has a terrific grocery store with amazing meat counter! Bear Cave CG is only a 20 min or so drive to the city of Bridgeman where Weko Beach is located. Lake Michigan is amazing whether enjoying a day at the beach or stopping for an icecream cone and sunset!!! Bear Cave is another terrific campground in ourThousand Trails membership. We have an Adventure Membership and been members for 8 years. Thank you for a great 2 week Michigan vacatoin!!!

This campground is one of our favorites. So much so that we bought an annual site! It is well maintained, has a large HEATED pool, the St Joseph River is just beautiful and you can fish from the boardwalk for free(no hassle with licenses) there are canoes to rent, a small but calming Waterfall. I found the bathrooms clean, laundry room, newer playground and Katie the admin is very easy to work with. She got us our approval on our site in 2 days! We love it here and go as much as possible.

The Front desk hostess was wonderful. The Cabin was clean. The Pool was clean. The Campground was pretty. We Would stay here again.

Rental cabin was not cleaned before we arrived. It was very dirty from the previous renters. Other than that the park itself was nice.

This could be a gem in the 1000 Trails portfolio, but sadly, it is not. Nary a level spot to be found. The roads are very potholed. I will say the showers and bathrooms are quite lovely. Stop featuring the cave which is permanently closed.

We enjoyed our stay at Bear Cave! The amenities were great, pool and bathrooms were very clean. Plenty of options in the lodge to enhance your experience. Super close to Warren Dunes State Park beach. We will be back.

I would come back. Like lots of campgrounds, could use a good scrub and coat of paint in older bathhouse. Only one of four dryers were working. Beautiful setting. Smaller electric and water(no sewer) sites. Loved the river view, arcade and camp store. Bummed the cave was closed. Check out Warren Dunes State Park if you camp here!

Bear cave R: park is absolutely beautiful. It is located on the river. Amenities, pool and lodge clean and well kept. Laundry expecting new machines. Katie and her staff are phenomenal. They were very professional, answered questions and made you feel like you were part.of their family.
