Staff acted as if we were a nuisance any time we needed anything. They also double booked our room and an unsuspecting person walked into our room with all of our things in it. The key cards for the doors did not work. Reprogrammed at least 5 times during our 2 day stay. Our bathroom door handle was falling off and there were missing pieces of carpet around the room. The hot tub is tiny, jets don't work, and is very unsafe to get in and out of. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Wish we would have spent a little more and went anywhere else.

The desk clerk was extremely nice and tried his best to accommodate our reservations and navigate issues that arose.

First, one of the rooms we were checked into already had an occupant in it, so he fixed that.

There were quite a few questionable people around the property including a man passed out on the bench within feet of the main entrance. When I brought this to the clerks attention he went out and woke the man up but he remained out there intoxicated and at one point was drunkenly trying to talk to my daughter, which made her and I extremely uncomfortable.

Next issue was I called before making the reservation to ensure the pool was open for use and told it was then as well as upon check in. We proceeded to eat our dinner and went to head down to the pool which my daughter has been waiting for all day to be met with a note on the locked pool door that it was closed. When addressing the issue again with the extremely kind and professional desk clerk we were informed that the pool lining had gotten a rip in it and couldn’t be used. When asks if it would be fixed by our check out the next morning, he was very apologetic and said that was unknown. The hot tub was still ok for use so the also very helpful day staff let us in to soak the next morning for a few minutes, but we booked this hotel because my daughter wanted to swim.

Next issue was the door didn’t latch completely which I did not become aware of until my husband came back after an event and walked in.

No again

This hotel needs new pics. We paid for a suite with a couch that’s why we got this hotel to find our room with no couch but a bed instead. Their rooms have no couches. Room was dingy had a smell definitely needs to be updated won’t stay again. Lots of people hanging around outside. The employee Weston was very helpful though he did find us a recliner for our stay.

Loiterers

Staff is friendly but the place smelled and had too many loiterers. The amount of people that hung outside made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Wouldn’t feel comfortable having my kids here. Rooms are older but good for a quick stay. Has a pool but was constantly filled with locals and loiterers who were smoking/drinking so never got a chance to swim. Laundry facilities were broken so that was disappointing. Best thing about this place was the nice staff, but they did nothing about the loitering- wouldn’t stay again unfortunately.

Negatives. Pet smell through the whole hotel. No designated rooms for no pets. Unsavoury area, felt unsafe, several loiterers.

Positves. Bed was comfortable. Good pool. Breakfast ok.

So so experience

My impression of the hotel was not good. Some things were not working or missing in the room. The PC in the business centre is ancient and too slow to be workable. The jets in the whirlpool were out of order. No tissues in the room. The The staff was friendly and helpful but it looks like they might be understaffed. Breakfast was ok.
