When you arrive you a met with a beautiful large auditorium, with ironwork everywhere and helpful reception and conciege staff (Special mention to Jose) who make you feel welcome from the off, although we arrived hours before checkin time we were made to feel at home and given access to get food, use the showers and pool. Our room was of a good size with a comfy bed and powerful shower over bath, the balcony area was large with 2 chairs and a small table on, looking out over the gardens and towards the sea, we even caught a sunrise from our balcony on our last morning. Breakfast was a self-service buffet with lots of choice and plenty of juices, coffees and other drinks to chose from. We ate lunch at the poolside bar each day of our stay and were impressed with the choice and quality of the food on offer, the service was fantastic, the only small disappointment was the lack of icecreams available from the bar. We ate once at the hotel restaurant which was a fantastic experience, the staff were attentive and polite, the food was tasty and well seasoned, the fish soup was amazing and the seafood cataplana was the highlight of our trip with superb content and flavours. There is an extensive wine list to suit all budgets and tastes. The gym is well stocked although some of the machines could do with some TLC, we both had massages that were very nicely conducted, the steam room wasn't warm enough for our liking however the jacuzzi was lovely and warm. Altogether an enjoyable experience and a recommended stay.

Welcome Upgrade
We actually stayed at the Ria Park Hotel & Spa - an upgrade offered by The Ria Park Garden Hotel - and accepted willingly.
Slightly disappointed that our room wasn't upgraded as the hotel was very quiet and I had informed them that it was our anniversary.
Having said that, we had a lovely stay and the service from all staff was generally excellent. Housekeeping was a little random!
