Overall I would say this was a 2.5-3 star experience at a 4 star price. Good location. Accommodation ok 3.5 to 4 stars. Key negative were internet and checkout/service. Internet was not working in my room and this was a business trip so was highly disruptive and inconvenient. I raised this with reception who apologised but stated this was a recurring issue. For the price and claimed 4 star hotel they need to address this and make it more reliable for guests. Another negative was checkout. They kept my bag for the day in a room next to reception but just told me to put my bag in there, no tagging system or security. When I checked out I walked in and just took my bag and left. Anyone could have done this, not a secure system. In Australia hotels often claim and price for a higher level hotel experience than they deliver and this hotel was a good example.

This is a large resort that doesn’t seem to be large… well laid out and good sense of space and privacy. We particularly like the layout of our room and location overlooking Hastings Street. Jack at the front desk was particularly friendly and helpful, enhancing our overall experience 😊

Would go back if I got a different room to the one I got. Our room had no phone service at all. So could not use our phones at all in the room. We did get phone service in other places in the property just not our room. It smelt musty when walking in. There was a wasp that kept trying to make a nest on the balcony. We had to ask for bug spray which we had to do ourself. The wasp kept trying to come back. Pool was fantastic. Short walk to the beach. Good location. Easy parking.

Great location for Hastings Street but room was very tired and the air con wasn’t working properly which probably explained why when I first checked in and entered my room a large pedestal fan was on and going full blast.
