I have been here many times before for cream teas always been excellent, but staying here is another matter. The rooms were awful and need a lot doing to them very dated carpets and furniture stained and curtains dark and very dirty looking it was not pleasant. The carpets curtains and overall state of the hotel needs a lot doing to it. This was like downtown Abbey meets faulty towers. The staff were very nice and friendly but the poor guy in the restaurant kept disappearing and when we looked out of the window he was running across the grass doing room service. I definitely would not recommend nor would I stay again

酒店回复: Thank you for your very honest review. We are working on the rooms as we speak. Staff sickness at times cannot be helped, we were short staffed on the day. We do hope this doesn't deter you from returning in the future. Kind regards

Really enjoyable afternoon tea, seated in the conservatory. Everything was fresh and nicely presented, more than enough sandwiches, scones and cakes. Service was friendly & helpful. All together a lovely experience celebrating our Anniversary.

We had Christmas Day lunch. Large portions, food served hot and good quality. The generous plate of mince pies, tiny pastry’s etc. served with the coffee were delicious. Lovely atmosphere, the staff were very attentive and efficient and worked very hard. It’s a shame to read reviews of disappointment as we couldn’t fault it.

Had a great evening at Mary Green Manor New Years Eve party. Beautiful surroundings, brilliant live singer, during our meal which I must say was excellent. We later danced the night away to some great tunes!! The staff were all great, helpful, attentive. We were a table of 9 and everything went as planned. We later retired to our lovely rooms and woke to a lovely hearty breakfast!! - keep up the good work it’s much appreciated xx

From the moment I booked the room over the phone, to saying goodbye at checkout - we had a lovely visit. Just one night (wish it could have been longer) but it was great! Large car park, friendly welcoming staff, very comfortable clean suite, excellent choice for breakfast - all hot and tasty. There are pretty garden areas (where we sat and enjoyed coffee after checkout). The interior decor in the oldest part of the hotel is gorgeous with a pretty lounge area that has a statement fireplace, which must be nice to sit by in the winter when the logs are burning. The wooden panelling is very nice too in that room. We live in a Tudor house in Somerset, so for us it was a home away from home feeling. There will be future visits to this part of Essex and we will definitely book to stay again.

Avoid this place . Worst Sunday lunch we’ve ever eaten . Served cold with zero taste . This place needs a complete overhaul include the chefs with it .

This was my first time at Marygreen Manor there was 8 of us for afternoon tea and what a dissapointment. We could not get parked as there was a wedding on so went over to the harvester who very kindly let us park in there car park. We had a very nice round table just before the conservatory but it was so warm in there it was uncomfortable. The service wasn't great they didn't go through what the sandwiches or cakes were like other venues have done, one was egg mayonnaise but was mainly just butter we couldn't find the egg, we thought we was getting a ham and cucumber one but we think it was either chicken or turkey with cranberry sauce again so little in the bread that we couldn't tell what the meat was. There was a glass with some jelly stuff in but only 2 of our party tried it and said it had no flavour at all and they didn't know what it was. We had to keep asking for more tea and coffee, we think we were asked once but after that we had to keep finding someone to get us more, the only really nice things were the scones and small chocolate swiss roll. Apart from the cheap crackers there was nothing christmasy about it no atmosphere what so ever no christmas music very dissapointing. I would not recommend for £27.50 and will not be returning
房间有点冷,暖气片开到最大也无法让整个房间完全暖和起来。我的脚一直都是冰凉的。
床非常非常旧,不舒服。房间需要翻新,因为墙壁大块缺失。早餐是预煮的,用微波炉加热。不太好
