Excellent value for money - superb restaurant on site and breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of parking but access very steep and can be tricky with uneven surface. Lighting went out in the shower (circuit/blown bulb) so had to use the torch on my iPhone

A hotel with good service
A hotel on a busy road but with parking facilities on site. It was some distance from the town but there is a bus stop nearby (these stop running pretty early).
It is located next to an Indian restaurant where we could have a meal with 15% discount for staying at the hotel.
The room was small and very warm, opening the window meant noise from the traffic.
Unfortunately the TV remote did not work in the room, although staff did try to resolve the issue unsuccessfully.
It was nice to have a bath in the en suite room; something that is lacking in many hotels!

The quality is slightly below what you would get for the same price in other cities. But there aren't many options in Derby. The hotel is fine in general.

Priced as 4* decor standard 2*
Was made to pay an extra deposit and was told this was if i damaged the room. Going up the stairs from the lobby the hand rail was loose lots of untidy things like bodged repairs on way to the room when I got to the room the light was off the wall iron burns in the carpet cracks in the bath and lots or mould at the tap end of the bath shower rail glued together…

Really nice stay ideal for my trip, breakfast was extra but reasonably priced, one minor issue was the water pressure in the shower in my 2nd floor room was poor but this wouldn’t prevent me from staying again
