I have stayed at Holiday Inn , Quality , and Raton Pass and I will honestly say Microtel Inn & Suites was hands down the “Best” hotel in Raton NM and without doubt it will definitely be where I stay when in town. The staff were great and the beds so comfortable the cleanliness of rooms is 5* above any named brand hotel ! If there is a 12* rating they certainly are!

Cleanliness of entire hotel and definitely the clean rooms, staff was super polite and helpful and the beds were amazingly comfortable for anyone with a bad back, all around 2 day stay was perfect

Staff is great and the building itself. The problem was the smell inside of the room and the noises of the surroundings. The walls are too thin and the cleaning people had a cart passing by that had their wheels broken. A loud sound was made couple times a day during their cleaning services due to the broken trolley wheels. Breakfast was average but missed eggs, meat and steaks.

Staff was nice despite the manager saying all rooms were newly remodeled, the walls had stains splattered on them. The ceiling in the bathroom was disgusting with stains and things that looked like they were about to drip off if it. The sheets and blankets had stains on them. Will not be staying again.

This place does not have an elevator. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the second floor after a very long night. The receptionist wasn’t too helpful either.

Clean room, friendly staff once they finally came to the front desk. The breakfast was very weak, but the hotel is very close to the freeway so it makes it easy for a quick stay and easy access the next morning.

Room was dirty. The floor was sticky and we noticed when we woke up there was feces on the sheet. So far beyond disgusting. I have never left a review, ever for a hotel room and you can probably see, we stay at a lot of hotels. And no9ne cared other then saying sorry, ill tell housekeeping.

The room was nice and clean. I didn’t have breakfast there as I was doing a “turn-around” road trip and needed to get on the road right away.
