We were going to a show at the theater right behind the motel so it was very convenient. We could walk and didn't have to worry about parking.

Everything was excellent. Great breakfast. Warm welcome. Good bed. TV worked, and remote control was provided and fully functional with 100s of channels. Local area was quiet and the locals were friendly. Food at nearby Blue Gate restaurant was great.

We were sad that most places closed at 5 pm and there isn't much to do there. It was hard to eat anywhere other than The Blue Gate for a regular meal.

Hotel is in a great location, close to Blue Gate Performing Arts Center, shops and a quick easy walk to the heart of Shipshewana! Hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly.

It was fine. We just needed a place to stay after a concert. It was within walking distance of the venue.

This is a great place for weary travelers to get a good night’s sleep and enjoy a nutritious breakfast (as early as 6 am!) before getting back on the road. Although it is certainly not a luxury hotel, it does a great job of providing basic needs well, at a modest price. It is clean, comfortable, and staffed with friendly, helpful people.

The Super 8 in Shipshewana was typical of any I have stayed at. Its location was ideal. It is a clean facility, with not much for frills as expected. But it did have a good breakfast. For the price, it was good value for what I paid.

This is a great modestly priced hotel for people who want to get a good night’s sleep in a clean, comfy room and enjoy a nutritious breakfast before enjoying touring the surrounding Amish area or continuing their journey to other destinations. We drive back and forth between Minnesota and upstate New York twice a year and always stay here.
