We stayed here one night on a layover. We chose this hotel because it is close to JFK and had free shuttle service. Upon arrival we called the hotel, and they informed me to make our way to Federal Circle but that at 10pm the shuttle would quit running. We got there about 4 mins to 10 and the hotel still arranged to pick us up, which we really appreciated. The hotel is located right next to an expressway and there is a 7-11 and Burger King close by. This is not a neighborhood where you would want to walk around a lot at night, but daytime is probably fine. If you're thirsty there is a drink machine at the hotel you can utilize. The room was dated, but big and clean. The bed was comfortable, and towels and sheets were also clean. We received a brown bag breakfast with an apple, a mandarin, granola bar and a juice box along with coffee. We were satisfied with this, since we knew that ahead of time. The shuttle in the morning leaves every hour I believe starting at 8, the driver was lovely, dropped us directly at the terminal. I would stay here again.

Airport shuttle: - There is a public telephone at Federal Circle Station, for contacting hotels to request the shuttle. The existing Super 8 contact (2 dial number) is incorrect. I called 3 times and they answered from another hotel. I managed to establish contact with Super 8 Hotel, asking for help from a stranger who gave me his cell phone to call the hotel. - After establishing contact, we had to wait about 30 minutes for the pickup. However, during those 30 minutes, other hotels made their pickups (with the same vehicle and the same driver) doing 3 rounds. - The day after, transfer to the airport was schedulled for 11 am. We and two more persons had to wait untill 11.15 untill someone decided to drives us back. And first of that, we had to assist a long discussion between the recepcionist and the driver, in a foreign language. - Driving back to Federal Circle owed nothing to a competitive race. - The bus has had better days. No dinner. We arrived at 9pm (as previously informed): restaurant closed. 1 option: to walk and look for a Seven Eleven or a Burger King on a suspicious neighborhood. Breakfast: - Booking informs on the website and on printed booking that breakfast is included. However and for our surprise, hotel recepcionist tells us that breakfast is not included and gives us a small "take away package to eat in the room" - quoting. So this was the breakfast: 1 orange, 1 apple, 200 ml apple juice and 1 energy bar. After claiming for the breakfast and we where 3 (me, my wife and a 4 yeard old kid) the recepcionist told us that Booking was aware of this mostly because they shutted down the restaurant services since Covid breakdown and we had to sort it out with Booking. - After complain with Booking, it was told to me that I had to sort it out with the Super 8 Hotel. - After a few messages exchanged with Booking customer service and after threatening with an unfriendly post, Booking decided to reward me with $25 only.

This place was a dump. It wasn't clean. It was in an "iffy" neighborhood. There was rust around the faucets in the sink. There were chips out of the bathtub. The towels were old, small and scratchy. The room was not updated. The bathroom had two colors of grout around the tile.

My family of 2 adults, 2 teens, stayed here 1 night because we had a flight the next morning. The hotel is old and run down. There are hardly any parking spaces so we ended up parking on the street next to the hotel. The neighborhoods near JFK are sketchy. There were hairs on the sheets for both beds. Wall in our room had lots of holes and needed painting. Elevator was tiny. Bathroom seemed clean but we didn't use the shower because the rest of the place was so sketchy. Even if they had offered free breakfast, we wouldn't have eaten it. I was ok with it, but the rest of my family was pissed that they had to spend the night there.
