Went with coworkers in a conference, and added team building as part of the businesses trip. The owner and staff gave us a fantastic experience. Did a snowmobile safari on the vast tundra. Saw a Reindeer herd, visited a lavvo (traditional tent) and ate reindeer meat. Head dinner at the hotel, and ate high quality reindeer meat. Warmed up in the hot bath and sauna after. Saw the northern lights at night.

Easy access along the main road, and comfortable beds with a lovely breakfast. Stayed only overnight so no experience from the restaurant or the surroundings.

We have stayed here many times and always looked forward to a great meal in the restaurant after a long drive. It was a huge disappointment this time. Only one reindeer main course on the menu that tasted OK but was mostly gravy. I had the beef tenderloin. It was so tough I could barely chew it. This hotel is located in an area of Norway rich in reindeer, I cannot understand why a tenderloin/medalljon of reindeer or some other tender cut is no longer on the menu.

The restaurant is truly a gem, showcasing exceptional cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. Chef Lawrence greeted us warmly and took the time to thoughtfully explain the menu, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Without a doubt, this was the best dining experience I have had in years. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, and the entire team made us feel very welcome and took great care of us throughout our stay. A big thank you to Chef Lawrence and the entire kitchen staff for a fantastic evening, and to all the hotel staff for making our visit so pleasant. Highly recommended!

We were so looking forward to this hotel, as it was raved about by the tour leader, but once here, we were sorely let down. There was a huge queue on reception when we all arrived, there was no effort at all to try to get someone else to assist, and it took a vast amount of time to work their way through our group and the other people that were trying to book in, this lack of customer care was not the only one we had at this hotel We booked a table for four at, if I remember, 6pm, but we wanted to change it to table for six, which is reality was no issue at all, as 99% of the world hotels and restaurants would be able to accomodate this. We arrived the hotel restaurant and advised the young lady that we would like to change it to a table for six and not four, only to be greeted by a stern and rather rude "NO" "You have booked a table for four" "yes, we want it for six now" the look of disgust and anger in her face was noticed by all, and as the restaurant was virtually empty, we could not see what the issue was, she walked around, with us following like lost sheep. She them moaned again, before a group of four people who were on a table for six, said that we could take their table, they were part of our group, so we knew them very well, and accepted the offer, our "waitress" was less than impressed. The service from there on out was awful, delays in taking drinks, then food orders, the huge delay in getting our starter course and main, we did not bother with a dessert, as the length of time we waited for her to bring back the menus would have meant we would have been there still waiting at breakfast. We paid, and left, and to be honest the food was not the best we had on this trip, tough meat and tepid heat, breakfast was a vast improvement, mainly I suspect the waitress from the night before was nowhere to be seen, the lady that was there flitting around filling things up was friendly, happy to fill our water bottles with ice and generally a rather different person from what we had encountered so far here. The range of food on offer at the hotel breakfast was ok, plenty of it, nothing ran out, the lack of a fruit juice alternative for me as I am not allowed to drink Orange Juice, and certain other fruity beverages and foods, was a surprise, but I had a glass of milk instead. The room was an ok room, nothing special, not much room to put things due to coffee machines and other bits and pieces dotted about, the bathroom was an ok size, 3
