Very happy with our stay at Occidental Tamarindo! First, the staff, I’ve never felt so welcomed any where else. Plenty of food and drinks. Clean rooms and facility in general. Entertainment team made a huge effort every single night and was really appreciated by us. They go above and beyond in every show with whatever resources they have.
Special mention to the tours desk in the hotel with Sibü Tours! Yusi is amazing and very personal in every interaction. The best driver ever, Manrique, is all you need when looking for a friend in an unknown destination! He’s our friend now! Francisco, the guide, was fun, friendly and informative (5 stars), and Don Diego the big boss, a very humble, pleasant and friendly guy. Such a great team!
We’re already planning to go to Occidental again!

The Occidental always has a variety of activities scheduled and playing beach volleyball in the sunset with the surf in the background everynight was the highlight of our day. A great place to relax and be athletic!

Every thing about this hotel is Sub Par.. Everything…. As soon as we checked in we knew it was going to be a challenge, but we did give it a honest try. We wound leaving immediately from the All-Inclusive dinner and heading into town for a palatable meal. We were greeted by a wild raccoon as we were leaving the “dining room” We knew it was time to leave. We asked to speak to a manager on several occasions to end our trip immediately and forgo any additional days at this hotel. No manager or anyone from ******* ever contacted us as they both committed they would. Very disappointing all around. Would never stay in an Occidental hotel again. Dirty, unsafe, broken locks air conditioner that didn’t work. ETC,,,,, Sub Par.
