The first room we were given was filthy. The bathroom had little clumps of mud all over the floor so I wet a tissue to try and sweep it into a corner and the tissue came up completely black like the floor had never been mopped. In addition, the toilet had fecal matter stuck to the inside of the bowl. I called the front desk immediately and asked that housekeeping come up to clean the bathroom. I was told that they didn’t have housekeeping on staff so they would change our room and I could come get the key. When I went to the desk I asked the lady what the draw was for Poteau OK that made all the hotels so expensive… she looked at my reservation and said “you should have booked directly with us, it would have been a lot cheaper. Believe me honey, ******* gets their money”. I asked that the information of the room condition be given to the manager and was told she wrote it down. After that, I was never contacted by anyone in the hotel during our 6 day stay. The hotel slso smells bad which prompted me to go to the store to get canned deodorizer and scented candles for our room to make it bearable.

My day was excellent. Everything was super clean. I felt like it was a brand new facility. Breakfast was good in the morning. I was able to get some good rest. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

The room was a 10 out of 10 in cleanliness in order. Would compare the cleanliness to a $500 a night hotel the staff was pleasant and helpful. The area is not perfect but nowhere in town is really I’ll be staying here several nights a month now that I purchased in the mountains 10 miles away.

The biggest disappointment was being charged $100 for incidentals at check-in for prepaid guests! Never have paid more than $50 for incidentals even at the top tier hotels. She said normally it's a $150 but I didn't look too sketchy... I asked why so much when they don't offer anything on the property that expensive and she said to cover smoking or pets in the room. To me that's absolutely ridiculous and shouldn't have been punished for what someone else has done in the past!

Was also disappointed the pool and hot tub weren't available for use yet?

On the surface it is fairly nice & new. It smelled & looked clean. In our room, the tv was unplugged, so we had to move furniture to get it plugged in. The coffee maker was dirty, so I had to spend 30 minutes cleaning it to heat water for tea. The breakfast had a good selection.

Good hotel

The staff at check in was very good. Thank you Rose for your friendly and quick hospitality. Hotel was clean and in a good location. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Overall experience is always great. We have stayed there several times and will be back. Checkout was also good. Jay made checkout easy and is always helpful and kind. Breakfast is also available between 6am and 9am. We will be back. The property is also handicapped accessible.
