I was pleasantly surprised, rented two rooms, and both were above average.
I think a family has recently purchased this location, they seem to be doing upgrades on the rooms, what I like the most was the staff were all friendly and you had the feel that they liked working there!

The room was odd, when all the lights were turned off there was still light in the room. It was as if the fluorescence were shared with the room next door. The walls were thin and I could hear the person next door snoring. Later at night there were other guests yelling in their room. The shuttle drive was yelling at surrounding traffic. I opted to pay for an uber in the morning because the first shuttle ride was uncomfortable.

Pool and hot tub great. Staff nice. Breakfast was terrible. Dead box elder bugs in room. Cigarette burn in first room. Rooms out dated. Previous guest keys in first room and still looked like urine in toilet in first room. Changed rooms because no channels on tv either.

Staying in town on business, airport pickup was prompt and the hotel staff is most kind, professional and friendly. They will drive you within 5miles and Target, Trader Joe’s, several restaurants, hair salons are within 10-15 min walk. Continental breakfast is offered. Rooms are clean and quiet, highly recommend!

The room was pretty clean. The staff was amazing. We have a larger family and they included a rollaway bed. When we first arrived, the room they gave us was a single queen, even though we had booked for the double queen. We went to the front desk to let them know we had been placed in the wrong room, and the young man apologized and quickly got us into our correct room. We had arrived pretty late in the evening after driving about 17hrs. The young man was pleasant, had amazing conversation and was very considerate. Going as far to say “I see yall came from Texas, I know you’re probably tired, so let’s hurry up and get you guys in your room so you can get some well needed rest.” I really appreciate that! It isn’t super upscale, but it was nice, clean, and we didnt see any bugs and it was reasonably priced.

Room smell badly. We found food, pills and garbage in the drawers. And there's cockroaches!! Also, No security. The doors are to go inside the building from the back are opened to the public. They do not required for you to scan your room key. Never going back again!

The hotel is basic, but in a convenient location for the Airport and Mall of America. The hotel provides a free shuttle service, which was a big selling point for me. The driver on shift would take residents anywhere they needed to go within 5 miles, and were on hand to ask transport advice as well as about the local area.
I’m a smoker, and spent a lot of time relaxing by the lake at the side of the hotel, however I believe there should be seating available, even just a bench or two, so that residents can relax and enjoy the view with a coffee. I’m disabled, and so were other residents I met, and I think it would be a courtesy to provide basic seating.
I would like to thank Tim, John, Joe and the other staff for all the help and advice you provided.

Checked in online, but had to go through the whole process again and add my card and make a payment AGAIN on arrival.
Room was OK - bathroom floor was sticky - and staining on the carpet - good size though and comfortable beds.
Breakfast is extremely basic - toast, cereal and some fruit.
Very convenient park and ride option - this brings up the star rating.
