I had booked two rooms for October 1 2023, in March 2023 as my family and I would be in New York for vacation and needed a hotel near JFK the night before we flew home. Everything was confirmed and I even received an email on Sept 25 stating that they were looking forward to my stay on Oct 1. When we arrived on Oct 1 we were informed that the Hotel was no longer a hotel and that it was a shelter. The manager then came out and told us he was cancelling our reservation and there was nothing he could do to help us. They said that the Hotel had been turned into a shelter months ago and my reservation must have been missed. The manager then refunded our reservation. We were then stranded with nowhere to go and while we were on our phones looking for a new hotel the security guard came up to us and said we were loitering and kicked us off the property. When I contacted Choice Hotels to complain they didn't seem to care that we were treated so badly and offered basically $80 worth of points. I will likely never stay at a Choice Hotel branded hotel ever again and will inform everyone I know to not stay either.

This is no longer a hotel. Why is Orbitz asking me to evaluate it? Orbits found me a new place to stay after I arrived on site and was told that the property was not accepting guests. A security guard told me it was a shelter now, as he welcomed teens in and checked their bags with a metal detector wand.

I took a long time to get to the hotel, only to find out that they didn’t have vacancy even though I have a reservation. Later another guy told me that there was an emergency, like I would believe that. People were coming in and out of the hotel and it didn’t seem to be closed.They also said they tried to contact me but failed. This is unbelievable because I have my email address and phone number recorded in *******. There is no way that they couldn’t reach me. I have stayed in many hotels through ******* and have never been in this situation before. I had to stand in the street at night and booked another hotel which was much more expensive. What a terrible experience!

The front desk guy was nice. The tile in the bathroom was nice. That's it. I knew booking this motel that it wasn't in the best area, but it was close to the airport. I didn't realize how small, scary, broken things and lack of any type of motel conveniences whatsoever. Had to call the guy to make the shower work and get the blinds down so the people walking on the street couldn't look in. People were yelling outside at 2-3am and the front blinds had parts missing, so anyone could look in. Got there late, so just tried to get to sleep as soon as possible. It was truly scary.

My flight was delayed coming frim Alaska . It was passed 12 midnight the front did not want to let me check in and said we cant refund you . I was tired needed a shower it was a long trip . I was not the only ine there was also a young lady with same situation. I was so upset that the guy did not care . Until i became a New yorker and said i am not moving wake up your boss i need to sleep get me a room now . So they did . Never again will i stay there . Rooms extremely small. When you go down the ramp there is not even a sign that says entry door looks like an alley to get robbed. I got what i paid for . Total garbage . Room had more furniture than walking space some of it wirn out . Not handicap friendly at all. Just pay the extra 30 or 40 dollars n stay in a getter place . This is more like a hostel to take your one night stand.

Don't stay here

This place was way to small. It was a double bed room. The beds were on top of each other, no walking space in the room. The bathroom had no space to put anything down. The sink clogged everytime you turned on the water.

Upon checking in everything look okay . As I was just about to get settled in to bed I picked up a pillow to get comfortable to my horrible surprise there was blood on this pillow . The man at the window said there are no more pillows on the premises what a nasty nasty establishment
