The front desk staff was incredibly helpful. They did not have an elevator or a first floor room available so they helped carry our luggage up and down from our room. We were travelling with a 1 month old so the pack and play was heavy for us since they did not have infant cribs available at the hotel. The pool is indefinitely closed I think. I had trouble with the vending machines because the system would not take my card but eventually they did work. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Our AC/heater was quite loud but we turned it off as we did not need it and that solved the issue. We were in a room facing the highway which was a little loud but it did not stop us from sleeping. The grab and go breakfast was sufficient to meet our needs. Our stay was only one day and thw location between Des Moines and Boone was exactly what we needed.

The up keep looks like no one cares. Holes in the doors from damage and missing hooks. Half the light bulbs in the bathroom were burnt out and the heat lamp bulb was missing and the knob to turn it on removed. Weird stuff stuck to the bathtub.

The temperature control was easy to change but the AC unit fired up for a minute or less about every 3-5 minutes. Check the AC in room 1009 in Ames.

Ac is kept off in rooms until guest turn them off. It was so hot and humid in the rooms that we had it at the lowest temp and highest setting and after an hour it was still miserable. Honestly was cooler outside than in the room when I got the keys. I was told it’s a hotel policy as per management.

Rooms are way outdated and dirty. Smelly rooms and hallways. I should have expected it based on the rating, but I’ve never been in a hotel that bad. It’s nothing more than a flophouse.

Bed comfortable. Internet was very spotty and off a lot. Air conditioner didn't work well or consistently. I did complain and that didn't help. Limited english with the young girl. NOT worth what it cost for 3 nights, $499.00, no other guests there for my first 2 nights, now I know why. Wyndham needs to do something or take their name off this property.

Needed a first floor room. Requested it, I thought. Checked in early and was told none available. I have spinal injuries and a heart problem. Cannot climb stairs. It was awful.

I had a pleasant stay for three nights. Unfortunately the pool was closed down and the mini gym was closed as well. Breakfast was decent and minimal. Front desk was very accommodating to what I needed Overall 3.5/5
