We have now stayed four times at the Rockwood Manor and this time it was for 3 nights. My wife has suggested we stay 4 nights the next time and then move in, ha. The first three times we stayed in the Bell Room and really liked the convivence of stepping out of our door and around the corner to the walk-in pantry to have coffee or make tea. The double shower head was wonderful. This last time we stayed upstairs in the Magill Room and found it enjoyable, also. The Magill is on the front of the house to the right facing the house. We will probably request it next time.

Lovely, quiet and relaxing home and surroundings. We so enjoyed our stay here. Our bedroom was specious and the common rooms extraordinary. If I had to pick a favorite? A toss-up between breakfast, compliments of our hosts, and visiting with their other fascinating guests. We are already planning a return visit.

Comfortable stay in an amazing house, which is listed on the Register of Historic Places. The home is magnificent and has been lovingly maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. There are spaces within the house where you can relax outside of your room. Rooms are filled with historical information about the house and the families who lived there. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts are very gracious and accommodating, preparing breakfast for us when we had to leave before the scheduled breakfast time. The location is easy to find and the grounds are very beautiful and peaceful.

What a terrific alternative to a hotel - the owner/caretaker shared family historical lore, and the place itself is a treat to experience, as is the historic country setting. I enjoyed exploring Dublin and Pulaski. And this was more reasonable than interstate hotel prices!

We had the pleasure of staying for four nights while in town for our son’s graduation from Virginia Tech, and our experience could not have been better. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and right at home. The accommodations were spacious and exceptionally clean. Our room had a large bedroom and a generously sized bathroom, which made it easy to relax and unwind after busy days of celebrating. Each morning, we looked forward to the delicious breakfasts—thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and a true highlight of our stay. The attention to detail and hospitality were truly appreciated. We’re so grateful to have found such a comfortable and inviting place during such a special time for our family. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in the area and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Blacksburg.
