I stayed here in March 2025. This is the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. Everything is tired and in disrepair. The toilet seat in my guestroom was not connected to the toilet. Everything was dated and tired. The closet door had been removed and never returned. The TV would not turn on. Someone had tried to force entry into the room and the damage that had been done was not not fully repaired. The hallways were hot, humid and smelled stale. The elevator cabins were tired and worn out - especially the floors which looked terrible. Also, the elevators were clunky. Only two machines in the gym worked. All four treadmills were out-of-order. Also, while the Peloton technically worked, the hotel had slyly put the pedals on it that only work with bike shoes. But I had bike shoes so I went to my car and got them only to discover that Peloton bike shoes are different from standard bike shoes making the one Peloton usable with only a tiny percentage of hotel customer.

The staff was exceptional. The issues were with the room. There was mildew in the bathroom/shower. I went to Dollar General and purchased Tilex mold and mildew remover and used it every night and day. When I arrived my key card didn’t work. After several failed attempts, I notified the staff. A young lady brought a device to my room, connected it to the electronic door handle and still couldn’t get the door open. She told me that she would have to get someone out to change the lock. I left the hotel for a few hours. As I was walking into the lobby my son (he was staying across the hall from me) called and said the young lady was looking for me. As I was getting on the elevator she was getting off but came back up with me to my room to ensure the key cards worked and they did. The tv didn’t work. A young lady came to my room to set the tv up. There were two remote controls which in my opinion is two too many for a hotel. There should only be one remote control and the tv should have already been programmed. Additionally, they ran out of clean towels and only had gym towel and tub mat towels. Other than that the staff was very nice, professional and very accommodating.

The email I sent Hilton on outr stay. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU DON’T BRING YIOUR FAMILY HERE. MORE DISAPPOINTING IS I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HILTON ON OUR STAY EVEN AFTER PROVIDING PHOTOS. Dear Hilton Customer Service, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with our recent stay at the Hampton Inn in Cleveland, Mississippi. This trip was particularly important as my family and I were in town for a funeral, making the issues we encountered even more distressing. We have stayed at this location before without any problems, and I have been looking to diversify our hotel stays from a competitor of Hilton to offer my family more options. Unfortunately, this experience has been far from what I would expect from Hilton. Here are the primary issues we encountered within less than 24 hours: 1. **Overall Cleanliness:** While the hotel was generally clean, it only met the bare minimum standards. It did not reflect the high standards I associate with Hilton properties. 2. **Television Issues:** Our room’s television was non-functional. It remained stuck on the hotel’s Home Screen and did not respond to any inputs. Additionally, the TV remote was missing its back, which added to the inconvenience. 3. **Room Maintenance:** The rooms appear to have been recently painted, but the job was executed poorly, particularly in the bathroom. Paint was splattered on the light fixtures in the bathroom, baseboards, and power outlets, giving the room a shabby appearance. 4. **Workout Room Condition:** The workout room was in disrepair. None of the treadmills were operational, weights were missing, and the remaining equipment was poorly maintained. The TV remote in the workout room was also missing its back. Additionally, cabinets and tables throughout the facility were dirty, and many baseboards were either missing or half-installed. 5. **Ice Machines:** Only two of the four ice machines in the hotel work (1st and 4th floors), according to the hotel staff. Although the staff were generally friendly, one employee mentioned that other guests have raised similar complaints but the ownership is unresponsive and opts for the cheapest fixes possible. This level of neglect and disregard for guest satisfaction is unacceptable, with even the room door susceptible to not completely closing and locking without attention to it to ensure it does so properly. We cannot consider staying at this property again without significant and verifiable improvements. Our intent in choosing Hilton was to provide my family with quality accommodation options as we travel, but this experience has severely undermined that confidence. This can be seen by the lack of guests in a the parking lot, as a family member of our unwittingly booked this hotel prior to us too and said he would never stay here again. I urge you to address these issues promptly. I believe in Hilton’s commitment to excellence and hope to see changes that align with the high stand

This place is getting pretty worn and not very clean. The tub and sink wouldn't drain, the carpets were dirty. The facility really needs an update. It was one of the most expensive Hamptons we've stayed at in the last several months but it certainly wasn't worth the price.

This hotel is older, in need of updates. But the biggest issue we had was the TV and internet weren’t working. Normally, I don’t turn the TV on but it was the super bowl. Oh well. We were able to watch in the lobby. Also, the coffee wasn’t hot at the breakfast bar. The staff were nice.

Hampton's are usually my favorite place to stay but this Hampton was not what I was used to staying at. As we made our way to our room in the hall and into elevator there was dirt and dried mud on the floors the tile in elevator was cracked and part missing. Got to our room as we entered, we seen the wall had been painted to cover up marks or something they used a different color paint which I thought was a little tacky. The only thing good about the room was the bed it was pretty comfortable. The next morning I got up to make coffee in our room but could not because the holder that holds the coffee filter was missing so I could not make coffee. So we went downstairs to get coffee and there was no coffee in the big coffee pot. As for the food did not look good for what little we seen. We got down stairs around seven and it had not been refilled with food. We asked the lady I think she was running the front desk and kitchen area if she could make some coffee she did but it took so long and we had to get on the road. Worst experience we have ever had at a Hampton. I wish I had taken pictures.

We’ve stayed here a few years ago and it was a decent place at that time. Unfortunately the property and service have fallen a long ways in the interim. From holes in the wall to door knobs falling off in fire exits,to missing trim boards and closet doors to damaged furniture to towels with holes in them to VERY spotty Wi-Fi, it is in need of a major overhaul. Front desk personnel were either non existent or indifferent at best.
